Default GTS vs C2S

It is possible to spec a C2S just like a GTS , (except the center lock wheels) for about 145-160k

So no need to wait unless you just have to have a GTS

There isn't a power kit available (yet). The GTS will have more power than the S.

My SA last week said they've not heard anything....still having difficulties filling basic C2 and C2S allocations let alone GTS cars.

That is probably 992.2 territory (hybrid). GTS is said to be still in testing and the soonest we may see anything like press releases and test rides would be summer 2021 or later. Doubt we'll see them as MY21 cars. maybe mid MY22 which means fall 2021 or early 2022 deliveries if that holds. Many releases are getting pushed to the right for many automakers due to logistics and pandemic among other things.

I don't see the GTS having a hybrid drivetrain before the Turbo. Whatever hybrid they use could be some type of lightweight KERS system powering the front wheels, if I had to guess.

Must be April's Fools day already then cause your dealer doesn't know what he's talking about. My SA and my prior SA (large size dealer in West) both have no idea from Porsche when the GTS is being debuted let alone released and both say it won't be NA and very likely you won't see it this year in 2021. Maybe 2022 model as best. Porsche among other dealers are having enough of a hard time keeping up with regular demand and production due to COVID and supply shortages in things such as microchips and some sub contractor slow downs and out of business due to all the above. So seeing a 992 GTS as a 2nd year model is unlikely is the realistic prediction.

But hey you can dream...everyone can. Two articles one from a year ago Feb 2020 and the other Aug 2020 both point it right around the corner and no car yet. Later article reveals COVID19 is likely culprit but IMHO just seeing a car with Sport Design kit and centerlock wheels doesn't mean the GTS is ready to be released any day now as these two write seem to trumpet to the masses. Likely if anything maybe we may hear something over the later Spring/Summer but cars by Aug 2021..unlikely.

Oh, you bought 992 S 3.0T recently. Sorry about that. The info is confirmed with my SA this morning. I bought my Cayman from him. Latest and greatest news!! My SA is also big NA engine fan, and he said he is going to buy 992 GTS. Higher price range make this info real!!

Your SA doesn't know anything about the release date likely.. Almost 90% of them don't in the US and Porsche has released NO info on it or when we'll see it. Great he confirmed it with you...probably to get your $$ for the next order and hey who isn't a big NA fan but you're not likely seeing the 992 GTS as a NA man. Maybe the GT3 of course but with the last 991 now going turbo across the board...992 GTS will likely be so also as there's enough HP on the table still left to go bump up the 445+ hp car has a lot still to give as tuners are showing us slowly. Being a big NA engine fan doesn't give your SA privy to the GTS release date...if that were so half this forum would know about it! LOL. And higher price range? The GTS has always cost a premium over the base and the 992 is at a premium over the 991...so nothing you've said really is convincing IMHO that a GTS car is gonna show up at a dealership near us in 6 mos! LOL. Sorry wish it were so but think your SA is uninformed at best misleading your on purpose at worst to get a sale and hopefully not an ADM!.

I wouldn't bother, this seems like a troll. A $45-65,000 price delta over the S would be over a 30% price increased over the last gen. That would leave the GT3 being priced beyond the Turbo S.

Based on past experience and current state of the market, the GT3 will debut this month, with GT3s shipping this summer, then once GT3s hit dealers as 2022 models, the GTS will be announced and hit dealers end of year or beginning of 2022. Porsche won’t likely deviate from the current GTS formula, value performance parts bin special with 3.0T motor, making about 470-475 hp (30 more than Carrera S and 50 shy of the NA GT3), PSE, sport chrono and sport suspension standard, more aggressive PDK shifting, Centerlocks from the Turbo S, black trim, Sport Design front and rear bumper and Race Tex interior. It won’t be NA for two reasons, Porsche needs it to be faster than the Carrera S, but not cannibalize GT3 sales. Porsche already said there are no plans to put 4.0 NA motor from the GT4 in a 992.

Soooo, no 4.0L NA motor....but how about a 4.0L (718) TURBO version?

I'm guessing you mean GT3 and not GTS.
