Absolutely more margin in a GTS for Porsche than a base or S. GTS is pretty much a parts bin special, nothing wrong with that but it’s classic product pricing strategy. It’s also why they make us buy an S to get certain options.

I agree the time seems a bit unusual, but perhaps the timing isn't as critical if they aren't having a live launch and are just putting out a press release about it.

The GT3 Touring press release also came out at the same time after midnight local European/German time (to my surprise), so the above info sounds plausible...
