I actually just watched a video on YouTube yesterday, a guy put on Akrapovic Exhaust on his 992 (with sport exhaust option) gave him a few more HP on the dyno, I don’t know if I’m going to do it personally. Here is a link: https://youtu.be/mylLrpi2L-g
On a side note: I also came across a suggested video “Porsche 992 Carrera T Black”, that looked like your car.
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I’ve seen both vids. Ha, the second one you mentioned is a video I made mainly for my family/friends…so it is my T. It’s getting double the views of any of my RList posted vids. Funny that I’m also getting subscribers to my channel…maybe I can monetize it lol? I think outside of RList, the general public is hungry for more real life looks at the T. Porsha should send me some free gifts for my contributions….just messing.
BTW, don’t recall seeing u here much. If you’re in NE join us at our T meet up in September!
OK, I've got about 600 miles and have read everything I could find on the car so far, including of course the owners manual. My question is: what's the difference between SPORT and SPORT PLUS mode?
On my Cayman, it's very obvious that the throttle map is different. I can switch between Sport and Sport Plus at a constant speed and the throttle position will noticeably change, slowing or speeding up the car without my having moved my foot. On the 911, I THINK I'm feeling something similar, but not sure. The reason for the difference is that in Sport Plus, the throttle is less touchy for track use. (Jeep does the same thing when in 4LOW, making the throttle less sensitive since you have so much torque on hand, this promotes smooth throttle input). I can't tell if the 911 is doing what the 718 is doing here.
Also, on the Cayman, the owners manual states that the active motor mounts are firmer in Sport Plus. It's also a separately selectable item in the PCM. I do not see any reference to this anywhere on the 911. Does anyone have info here?
Lastly, I'm sure that both cars adjust their traction control settings to allow more yaw and in general more slack before nannies kick on when in Sport Plus mode for track use.
Does anyone have more reliable info on this topic?
@tourenwagen remember that Ford GT pic I previously shared? Below poster was made for car meet highlighting that car. I hear it’s lucrative putting together car meets. Ha, maybe we should also do as a side kick? Looking forward to seeing your updated one. If it looks sharp, I’m seriously considering ordering T-Shirts with ur image for all meet attendees as a gift. Would be kinda cool for all to have for memory sake.
Also, I’m going to PM u and @toph4242 later something u guys in particular may enjoy seeing. I have so many interesting car stuff (industry stuff) in my mailbox, but most of it I can’t share in a public forum.
Yeah I saw that story also. Ha, my brain is on overload with car stuff. My family says I may need professional help, ha. OK, never mind on doing it as a sidekick.
Also, we may want to PM later just the attendees to our meet with actual meet spot and time. I personally don’t care but some may feel more comfortable with that?

Hah I was just teasing. I think the T Party is going to be epic. What did we decide on for the flyer? Pics of our actual cars?

T-gathering attendee here if I get my T in time. If you are going to message folks, I updated my username from SharkBlue982. Realized that having one that is tied to a specific car is not practical.

Having a Shark Blue 982 too, I feel your pain! lol

Ha, I figured but was serious about maybe PMing actual spot and time. Again, I’m fine but I think some may be more conservative (and that’s all good by me). Attendees- please chime in if so.
Yes, pics of our Ts. Would be cool if we could get everyone’s in but maybe too many? Maybe work if small enough? Ha, get creative! I trust it will be good….and if u want to change careers to be a concept car designer, let me know.
