@Macboy thank you for your driving impressions. I find them very helpful because they are nuanced, unlike most reviews on YT or mags which seem to regurgitate the same bullet points. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how they compare to your previous 991T and the 991GT3 when you have time. If you don't want to post publicly, please DM.
My current Gentian build has shark blue belts (with rear seat optioned back in, that means more color ) and I'm doing exterior color accents in lieu of the piano black trim, so yes, some blue will creep inside. Coco mats with black/blue will likely be added. If I did yellow, there would be a yellow tach (the yellow trim in lieu of piano black looks hideous) and red belts (Old Bay style), since the idea of yellow seat belts is just a little much. My Facebook survey (which has a lot of PCA friends from the DC area), FWIW, overwhelmingly prefers the Gentian Blue, in large part because of the police factor but also that I live in the DC area where black/white/grey/silver/chalk make up about 80% of all new Porsches. Any kind of blue or red color stands out, let alone yellow, though strikingly similar colors to those available on Porsches as premium or PTS can be had on Corollas, Kias or Camaros without $13,000 premiums.
Gentian interior color bits are a good idea I think. I agree yellow ones would be a bad idea, and I think a number of colors do not work on the interior trim... Gentian will look good. I'd do the seatback centers too...
Blue belts will be good, but I think you might enjoy a little dual color action with yellow or red.... To be honest, reading your messages I am getting a pretty clear vibe that you also have already landed on Gentian as the color and now just need to figure out the "right way" to color match/compliment the interior.
At the end of the day, go with what really makes you happy.. dont worry about what others think "works" or doesnt work and just think, When I sit in the car, what colors will put a smile on my face. If I was getting a gentian car again, for me it would be blue and yellow all day. But thats me, not you... do you
Not a clue but maybe by the time you get an allocation if you haven't already, the aero kit will become available again. It sounds like PCCB is not going to be coming any time soon due to supply shortages.
I am having more and more time to experiment with the driving characteristics. Unfortunately I am still not there to present a thorough review since I find the car still new and thus having more difficulties exploring its limits than my past not new cars. It just feels more special being a brand new car. And actually I am in no hurry at all. Plan on keeping her for many years. But anyway I would like to share some things so that you can read them and together we can discuss them.
Currently I am experimenting with the front end grip. I have no variable sport steering. I wanted to keep it all as mechanical as possible. But it is clear that Porsche developed this car with VSS in mind. I notice a tight heavy weight in the steering rack which could be just the tire pressure. Currently am driving on 2.4 front and 2.7 on the back. Warm temp. So will adjust those values in the next days to check the difference. Also experimenting with full 90l tank and almost empty tank.
There is a pretty “big” difference in ride comfort with the GTS and the 4S. The 4S was most comfortable. The T should not be less comfortable right? But it is. I like the damping. It’s definitely not as hard as the GTS (we are talking minorities here). You notice the bumps very well but in a softer way. The GTS is stiffer pushing them harder through the cabin. The T seems to have easier damping so the car is riding more over the bumps. One issue is that I cannot do a 1 to 1 comparison. So it could be just me. The good thing is you feel everything what’s happening under your car on the road, but the harshness is more forgiving. To me it’s perfect. I never loved too much comfort but also hate bouncing away in my car. I can understand for some the car would be a bit too stiff.
Another thing you can’t miss in the (tight) corners is the diff clicking in. Am doing more and more high speed turn corners and the car feels extremely well. At first you think the tires are rolling/flexing. But it’s just the diff waking op and settling so from that moment you need to push through. It all feels so mechanical I just love it. The car is everything I hoped for. And can’t wait to explore it even more. It’s really a drivers car. Very engaging.

Seconding this. It's great to see all the personal reviews on here. It makes the wait for the rest of us less a "did I make the right choice?" and more of a "God damn I cannot WAIT to drive this thing!" Thanks for that! Comparisons to any other car is appreciated :-) And more pics. This goes for all those that have taken delivery and not just Macboy.
First Porsche for me. Had many fast / great sports cars. The T is almost exactly as I imagined. It’s perfect for me. Every time I drive it I’m thinking this is exactly what I would have designed for myself. That’s why car designers love the 911 so much! Took corner at intersection doing 40 mph no braking. It stayed flat. Rear tires are incredibly grippy. The ride is fun. Exhaust notes getting better each day. Had sunroof and windows open and heard a lot of turbo whistles today morning. Power is sufficient even only maxing out at 5K rpm (ha, I know my warranty is voided). Autoblip makes MT downshifting an ease. Brakes are solid…no surprise since my industry contacts have always told me Porsha has the best brakes. 100% best decision to buy T. I could go on and on and on but have to leave for my 2 hour lunch pickup now.

Thanks for the review, and make sure to actually pick up some lunch
TYD still shows my T at Jacksonville but my SA says it’s been released for transport with ETA today to my dealer in North Carolina. And the Monroney just dropped from TYD!
Should I be concerned that it doesn’t specify side decals, which I do want, or is that because that’s the default, like rear seat delete, which I also want?
I'm thinking you're OK. Remember when ordering, you had selections for side decal delete or addition of the rear seats as zero cost options on the T.
I kinda liked the personalized one with pics (not just because mine was one of the pics, but that helped). If you use this one, make sure the "Carrera T" is very prominent so it's clear, this is for T's (and I guess T fans as well).
