The PPF guy was not amused. It made his job a little harder.

If you get them, we can meet up in Stuttgart or at the Ring, I can peel them off for you
And you are right, they kinda get lost on Gentian.
I appreciate the offer but I won't be leaving the Leipzig delivery center with decals on!

This is a very tough question to answer, but as someone who owned a Gentian Blue 992 already, I am happy to provide my 2 cents:

1.) As you can see below, Gentian changes a lot depending on the light it is in. Sometimes it is electric blue (which I really liked)... Sometimes it is Purple (WHICH I LOVED)... and sometimes when its a little darker or cloudy it is Navy (which was really BORING)...
2.) Gentian for the most part held up to dirt (especially after ceramic was applied)... but like a black car does, gentian after 18 months started to show dirt and swirls more easily.
3.) IT really depends on the interior!! My interior was all black and black belts and Carrera Classic Wheels... If I had yellow Seat belts, and Some other yellow bits on the interior, or if I had red seat belts, red stitching and the fire extinguisher, I think I would have ordered Gentian again. without the color on the inside, I was ready to move on to a more POP of color in Rubystar.

I say, either go with Gentian and red belts, red seat back inserts, fire extinguisher option... or Gentian with Yellow Belts, Yellow Sport Chrono......... OTHERWISE, Id vote Yellow exterior with Yellow Seat Belts and a Black Interior
Yellow is really rare and cool. Gentian is really classy and in the right light when the deep purple comes through, it is FLAWLESS.. Tough call for sure (but get color on the inside if you go gentian)

I’d say it depends on your personality.
Yellow if you’re the outgoing, charismatic type that’s happy to stand out in a crowd.
Blue of you’re more the strong silent type that stays a little in the background, but nevertheless confident in your own skin.
I should have been a psychologist 😎

Well at least we're not alone. Frustrating to say the least. So near yet so far. My final step 9 on TYD says between 3/10-22 so I guess we're still in that window. I just hope they don't push that back now! Stay patient!

I’m in the same boat as you, but with 3 weeks left to go back and forth. Heavily leaning toward yellow at the moment. Maybe it’s because yellow was the launch color for the 991.2 T, but yellow just feels more “right” for a T.

Spoiler

@tourenwagen Ha, I finally had my first hot mama run in. While parked to pick up lunch, a really hot young mama pulls up next to me in a Black Cayman. What happened next?

Welcome to my world@tourenwagen!

But I think I can help!
In the instruction manual tucked away on page 86 in chapter 10 is a section called…
‘BEWARE OF PREDATORY WOMEN’
I found it very useful, there are lots of tips on how to handle this daily occurrence.
Before discovering this, I was constantly having to fend off extremely attractive women that tried to chat me up, it was getting really annoying.
It got so bad I was parking around the corner where nobody could me leave the car.
Things are better now👍🙏

I am from Melbourne (Australia). I placed an order for a T (and paid the deposit) on 17 December last year and am still waiting for an allocation ! !
According to my Porsche salesperson, as of last week, Porsche Cars Australia has not had a single T allocation since November last year.
I am becoming very frustrated with the delay.
When did you put your order in and also when did you receive your allocation ?
Thanks

Wow! That’s weird.
I wonder how Porsche justify that?
Is it down to the fact that there is so little demand that the homologation doesn’t make it worthwhile?
Doesn’t your dealer have a theory?

did you do Focals with Amp or just speakers without the Amp?

I believe that just speakers with some sound deadening pads (to reduce door panel resonance) makes it much better, but if you want Hi-Fi you need to go the full house!

I quizzed my SA about the inordinate delay, and he said that Australia comprises about 1% of the global 911 market and that Porsche (Germany) prioritises us accordingly.

My current Gentian build has shark blue belts (with rear seat optioned back in, that means more color ) and I'm doing exterior color accents in lieu of the piano black trim, so yes, some blue will creep inside. Coco mats with black/blue will likely be added. If I did yellow, there would be a yellow tach (the yellow trim in lieu of piano black looks hideous) and red belts (Old Bay style), since the idea of yellow seat belts is just a little much. My Facebook survey (which has a lot of PCA friends from the DC area), FWIW, overwhelmingly prefers the Gentian Blue, in large part because of the police factor but also that I live in the DC area where black/white/grey/silver/chalk make up about 80% of all new Porsches. Any kind of blue or red color stands out, let alone yellow, though strikingly similar colors to those available on Porsches as premium or PTS can be had on Corollas, Kias or Camaros without $13,000 premiums.

I would never mix yellow and red personally. Yellow seatbelts is just the ultimate Porsche p0rn. You will just love it. That blue and yellow is just fenomenal. Only thing missing are the yellow callipers. I do think yellow exterior is a great color for a T. But if you like yellow, how can you be so unsure about yellow seatbelts? That is just Porsche screaming there.

Just go for it! If you order them and don’t like them, I am happy to pay you back half of the price. Just need to find 1 more idiot and you’re good to go. In all seriousness: if you order them in yellow but don’t like them, you can always change them.

Here 3 different blue colors with yellow. I personally think the gentian blue one is the best color to match the yellow. Dark blue. Light yellow. BAM!
