@toph4242 what a great experience and recap…very jealous. My T was supposed to be my first and last new 911 as I wanted to work backwards in time…but now I need to revisit that plan to incorporate european delivery at some point.
I highly recommend everyone passionate enough to be on this site consider the pilgrimage to Germany at some point if it is a possibility for them. Being over there on those roads is something I hope and wish every one of you can experience at some point!

Great point, Toph!
ED is not available to us in the GB, but we can ride over the moat (canal la Manche) and visit anyway 🤓
Porsche make this claim that 75% of all 911’s ever made are still running, so obtaining spares should be easy.
Loved the old MGB GT! Lovely looking car and always wanted one but never got round to it.
Believe it or not, parts availability isn’t the problem. Despite their age, and that the only relation between MG today and the old British Leyland MG is the badge, it turns out that the British built MGs are still pretty common and 95% of the parts to rebuild most MG variants from the chassis up are still available. What is hard to find is mechanics to work on them. Even the local classic muscle car cars around here are afraid to touch the car.

Time to start saving for my Mission X allocation.

Do I have the dubious honour of being the first T owner to kerb a wheel? 😫 (apart from @Barkat03 who had his done on delivery? Did you get your replacement wheel?)
The trouble with living in a city. Anyway repair already booked.
On a much more positive note I got to 900 miles yesterday so took it round to 7k rpm a couple of times. Oh my god it's a totally different noise. Much louder than I expected and as CarswithLuke mentioned on his video it has an almost naturally aspirated howl/rasp at the top. I think it was @Wilder who said it has been given a sprinkling of Porsche magic dust above 5k and I see what he means. Way more intoxicating than a base Carrera given it is supposed to be the same engine.
Another little find (for those of us with manual transmissions) was if you have your right hand screen set to the gear indicator as you get above 5k revs the whole thing changes colour and becomes a gearchange indicator. Very cool.
Going on holiday tomorrow for a week and already looking forward to coming home so I can drive my T again

@Graeme’s T
Still waiting for replacement wheel.
There is an offer of £1,500 Porsche credit on the table if I forego the replacement.
Might just take it, the damage is fairly minor.

If they replace your wheel I'd assume "they" take the damaged one. If they do, it's a no brainer....take the cash and with such u minor scuff, I'd repair it when you get new tires down the line. If they were to let you keep the damaged wheel, I'd take that option.

Yes - You’re probably right, although to be clear it’s credit they’re offering rather than cash.
I could get some of those really cool Porsche sunglasses though people might mistake me for Paul
Newman

@Barkat03 I'll send you a pic of my repair. Reputable company in London. Mate with a GT3 Touring just had 2 done. Can't see the repair. £150 per wheel. Take the £1500!
Options I would say really make the car, Manual T, RWS, and full leather. RWS really transforms the handling and makes it far more nimble and feels like a smaller car, I was a skeptic in the past but really like it.
As the Violet Ace inches closer, almost 900 (!) pages after I started this thread… a question for all:
What option do you most regret not selecting on the “T”, and which one would you now not select?
If I had the chance and got my allocation in time while Aerokit was still available, I would 100% spec it all day, every day. But it wasn’t meant to be. Same with Bose.
