I have owned more 964's than I can count. I sold my last 964 for a 993 in speed yellow. The 964 leaked oil always some better than others but always leaked. My 993 is spot dry on the bottum its crazy. I love my 993 but it doesn't deliver the same amount of fun as the 964 its 80 percent of the fun but its more comfortable. Miss my 964!
Yep, my 993 is bone dry underneath. But whenever I go for the keys I take the 964.
Very good write up. Yes the G50 transmission in the 964 is bullet proof. I think Singer also used the 964 because it was the last model to exemplify the true 911 front end with the raised turrets. I picked up my 964 when they were the red headed step child. The only complaint I have is that it leaks like an old Harley. Why in the hell did Porsche build an engine without a head gasket? The fix is going to cost me 20k. For now I just park it on cardboard and drive it like it’s stolen.
I sold my ‘87 Targa last year (and my ‘85 MT 928) and I do miss it! There is just only so many cars you can drive. I know it’s a matter of taste but I always thought the G50 in mine was far better than the 915 that a couple of friends had in their slightly earlier models… there does seem to be quite a cult following for the 915 though.
Blasphemy! When was the last time you drove on the Nordschleife?
You were supposed to first drive a lap , then stop to "Rettis" Tankstelle, buy a Schnitzel Brötchen plus the ring sticker. And in the end, put it on the car, to show that you drove through the green hell.
Actually, this is what tourists do.
The connoisseurs use the "N" sticker, to show that they are 'Nfiziert
I assume you are yourself fiziert given you now live on track

Just got home! My SA (Russ) said everyone who saw this interior said by far, it was the best Porsche interior they've ever seen and "I swear, I'm not bull****ting you." Later the Finance guy came out and said "You have the nicest interior I've ever seen in a Porsche, everyone here said the same." It is unbelievable. The noise level is nothing near where I thought it would be and the base stereo is perfectly acceptable to me. The auto blip is hard to get used to for a guy who always heel and toed. As I was driving home I had zero buyer's remorse like I did in 2004 when I bought my 350Z convertible. This car is unbelievable and I'm going to enjoy the ever-loving s#%t out of it!

Another former Z guy?
Congrats! Interior looks amazing!

plenty of headroom for me to wear a helmet.
Man oh man. That interior IS fantastic. Holy cow. That upgraded interior package actually looks WELL worth the money. I would strongly consider adding it if my order wasn't locked.
I especially enjoy the photo above with the reflection of the lizard seat belt visible in the gear **** :-)
No go out there and enjoy it! Then give us more review and photos! Haha. And thanks for everything thus far. Glad to hear the base audio is sufficient for you.
Firstly need to congratulate Scott on his beautiful GT silver car with green **** interior. That selfie and smile just said it all. Enjoy your miles! It’s great to see all owners more enthusiastic than we thought on the car. And glad you like the speakers as well. Thanks for posting all these pictures. And can’t wait to read more along your journey.

The Nürburgring is only a 2,5 hour drive from my home. So bought it at the Ring.

Dead serious. In fact, I will post some more pictures in a few minutes. Can’t wait to see my video!

I thought after 1500 laps I just deserved this sticker for my first new Porsche
@Scott P congrats what a spec. Love how the lizard green interior + trim in GT silver brightens up the interior. Get out and enjoy it…but keep sending photos for those of us still waiting for delivery to live vicariously through you.
