It was stunning vehicle, @timothymoffat
The PEC has a MT7 in GBM and I am told they also have Yellow PDK (but I have not seen it myself)
The MT7 derivative had:
* 18-ways seats in std cloth/leather upholstery
* Alcantara sport steering wheel
* Alcantara roof lining
* Standard radio
* Silver seatbelts
* Matrix headlights
* Spyder wheels
* Carbon roof
* Front axle lift
* Sport front bumper with body-colour lower lip forward
* Sport rear bumper
* all badges and stickers
and what I believe is standard and I really liked, Agate Gray lines on the rear air intake vertical grille!
I drove that same car and came away happy with my spec except I really liked that steering wheel.
I had a grand day at the PEC in Silverstone today, driving gentian blue 992 T MT7, on the track.
I learned some new tricks, but more importantly I got to experience a car that I am about to collect, in a way that I would not be able to on a public road. The car is everything I wanted, it’s definitely a keeper!
@Pivot I was invited to yesterday’s event at Silverstone (was it just for Guildford customers?) but I already had an invitation for Thurs next week so declined it (yes I must be bonkers!).
Today is the 2nd week’s anniversary of collecting my car but I’ve spent them below 4k revs, so can’t even experience the potential of the car on acceleration etc

Love the aero kit. Its funny how I had it configured with the aero kit when I put my name on the list at Byers. Once my name got called up I had heard that they put a stop order on the aero kit so I convinced my self that this wasn't what the T was about. It was a way of me dealing with the fact that I couldn't have it. It just looks so damn good with the aero kit.
So interesting that you traded in an S for a T. I was on the list for a GTS and S but I knew I couldn't get an allocation given I had never ordered one before. When the T was announced I quickly got on that list. I honestly would of chosen the T allocation over the S allocation because Its not about power for me its about the sound and emotion that the car delivers. You trading in an S for a T only confirms that there are many of us that want Porsche to build enthusiasts cars and not cars that just go 0-60 in 2 seconds. What is the fun in that!
Thanks for sharing you new car with us. Guards red looks amazing and I am surprised I haven't seen many people go for Carmen red.
I many times think we Carrera T lovers are more enthusiastic than most other owners. Even GT3 owners. At least in sharing our passion.
Probably the GT3 owners are just more busy driving their cars than us talking about it
About Carmen red: it’s more of a luxurious color suiting a Turbo S or GTS and not so much a sporty color suiting the T. It still will look beautiful probably but doubt we will ever see one.
I have a guards red 86 euro 928 and a polo red 68 soft window targa. I love red, but I had to pull the trigger on the python green because it was so different from any car I have ever owned. So excited to hear more reviews from you driving experience. I had a rs60 spyder that had many little tweaks that the factory did but really didn't disclose at launch but was later discovered. I kind of feel like that has gone on here with the T. It appears that they have done some special tuning to get a more driving enthusiast feel other than removing insulation and giving us lighter glass.
I was in similar situation. Getting a new S in my area NYC is impossible. Getting a T here is difficult without ADM. There’s one dealer that told me 2 year waitlist for T. I asked wouldn’t they stop producing them 2 years out? SA said yes but I’d still be on the waitlist for a used T if no new available…..nuts.
I believe for MT 0-60 for S is only 0.3 seconds faster than T. Probably not noticeable. I currently have a faster automatic AMG but buying a T for MT, 911 heritage, looks, more sporty character ( I like it better than Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc) I see plenty of them in NNJ. Not sure yet, but a stock T may be a bit lacking but beauty of a 911 is that there are a ton of aftermarket options. So I purposely went fairly bare bones on options. I haven’t had a MT sports car in a very long time. But my 300 zx twin turbo and MK4 Supra had HKS aftermarket exhaust. That alone makes a huge difference in how fun they drove. I think it’s even better today since u can get a valved exhaust that works with the factory PSE settings….

My vids apply original pics. I’m only here on my phone so everything generally looks good to me. Probably different on computer or TV. I did see one on my large screen TV and got mix of high and low res. I think it’s mainly a function of quality of people uploads….but could be my phone doing stuff also.
BTW, I’ll slap together a Macboy edition later, but u need to post more pics, ha.
