noooo, need more tent pitching!

I don’t expect this from Porsche.
I've had a persistent rattle on the right side of the cabin that Porsche could not find. I finally figured out its in the seat belt assembly (up by the passenger's ear), and they couldn't find it because it goes away when the seatbelt is in use. Annoying. Still need to have them fix it.

I think my outside air thermometer is also not very accurate.

Could be an adhesive issue related to extreme heat and lightweight glass on the T? I think there was a Dakar owner or two that posted on another thread on these forums before, who was having a similar issue of the rearview mirror de-bonding from the windshield glass. iirc the Dakar also has lightweight glass like the T?

I'm about to sell my T to make room for incoming T. Thoughts will be appreciated.

Thank you.
I sold my '85 M491 911 Outlaw on BAT. The transaction/experience was great and I actually had fun doing it. I felt like I did very well on the sale price. I made sure to stay on top of the questions. I will say this though, it's a lot of work. I spent 1 month getting the pictures, videos, writeup, and receipts ready. It seriously took me 1 month. I took the wheels off - cleaned the barrels, suspension, and brakes. I took the seats out and vacuumed everything. In the end, you get out what you put in. Be transparent and overcommunicate.

Thank you. The struggle is real. The new car is optioned the same with the exception of buckets, different color, different color stitching, and adding racetex bits. But that's just the canvas. What will truly make it different is how it's going to be modified and I can't really go into much detail there yet.

I'm not selling the bars or the tent.

I hear you. Thought of returning it to stock, especially since I'm putting the GT3 side skirts and Techart springs on the new one, but decided it's not worth the hassle and it'll probably sell faster/better the way it's set up now.

I was thinking the same with offering you to purchase but instead I have a company making me a forged set.

So, less than a week to lock with this build:
https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PR36HZ63

Only have a few things I'm still considering -

1. Green tach and chrono? I have black selected now. I think the colored dials look best when matched to the exterior color, and I worry a little about not enough contrast on the gauges for good visibility. I've also read that some people that had colored gauges did not select them again, which tells me something.

2. Carbon bucket seats? They are sexy as hell, and I don't want to feel like I missed an opportunity to get them. But this is a street car that will be used frequently and the buckets take away a lot of the daily practicality and usability of a 911. Plus I like the green T sport-tex trim and 911 in the seats. But those buckets - just look at them!

3. RAS. I'm not beating this dead horse anymore - we all know the pros/cons. I want to know if anyone who has not gotten RAS would select it if they were getting (or are getting) another T. @Wilder I see you are staying with no RAS on your second go around. @Macboy I believe you also stayed RAS free with your second spec. Anyone change their mind on this?

I love my Red Tach! But one of the reasons I got Guards Red paint was because I didn't want the colored tach that wasn't matched to the body.

I definitely would have gotten buckets if I didn't need rear seats for the kiddos. They dramatically change the feel of the car. I guess it just depends on how limber you are and what shape you are.

Never tried RAS. Very happy without it. Car feels awesome!

Just looked at your build. Two additional thoughts to consider:

- Exclusive Design wheels looks awesome with GT Silver

- Even without surround view, you still get proximity sensors and a backup camera. I don't feel like I'm missing anything valuable by not having surround view.
