What's the point of biking when you can run?

For me, it's all about Peddle Assist. It will match your power 1:2 to help you with the inclines... You may be able to use it with throttle only, but I normally turn that feature off and only use peddle assist for large hills

Such a cliche and uninformed comment. Rather sad.

I'm pretty into bipedal recreation, but If I was going to get some light EV mobility it would have to be an electric Unicycle. If you can avoid breaking your neck, they look like a lot of fun. I bet there are a bunch that would fit nicely into the 911 frunk too.

Im coming from a major injury. An e-bike allows me to ride with my kid and manage the effort in a controlled way. It's a great solution for me. And even around town for people that don't want to commute by car. Comments like the one from the person above

If your check engine light is solid (not blinking), try several key cycles to see if it goes away. In other words, go for 3 to 4 drives (turning on/off). It may just be a temporary thing. A number of things can trigger it especially if driving in colder weather. Even if light goes away, suggest having tech read the stored info since ur T is under warranty. Stored data should remain for awhile. If solid light, wouldn’t worry too much until they check it out. Again, under warranty. In the meantime, go for a beer…that’s what I’d do. 😁

Good to hear you are still enjoying yours.
I have a 2024, not sure mine works either

I'd be willing to bet that just came from a lack of experience. They are a lot of fun and there are plenty of use cases. I don't know how anyone could reasonably argue against having more options for getting out and having fun or access to cheap* and efficient personal transportation.

*Maybe not the Porsche Ebike

@celestequattro Thanks I have had no problem with my hand break though I agree I would prefer a old fashion pull up push down release type as found on M2 BMW's. My only other experience with electric hand breaks was with auto Merc estate cars, so no need for holding on hill starts.
I just hold the clutch in gear if stopped on a hill and feather the break peddle and throttle.
I am going for a run tomorrow so will try a hill start with the hand break engaged and see if it automatically releases ?
I will report if I have problems.
Best,
Devon Racer.

Maybe we can quote each others manual? You made me curious. But it would prove it’s partly because of legal reasons. And all logic for that don’t get me wrong.

Maybe my English is not that good but I was not attempting to write negative towards you. So my sincere apologies. I was just stating some points. The break in period is there partly because of legal reasons. Building up revs slowly seems logical. Many engines are being burned from day 1 at Porsche factory so it can never be that bad. But better safe than sorry. Why take the risk when you can build it up slowly. But what remains strange is following the manual for 4k revs max and then suddenly hit it hard and revving out the max.

For the oil change it’s also a bit polarizing topic. One could argue that even if not necessary it cannot be wrong either. But there are different views on this. The old view is pretty clear: there were metal parts from the cilinders or bores wearing in (I am not so technical so please correct me). Bores are now etched from the beginning so less or no metal parts and the oil filter takes them out easily. So it’s a thing from the past is it?

But even if it’s not necessary it doesn’t mean it can harm when changing it. Or can it? I have no technical background for this. But my dealer told me that an oil change is indeed prohibited by Porsche. Wouldn’t Porsche be more likely on the save side from a legal perspective (like break-in period)? I was really on the fence about it and decided not to do it upon dealer advice. But have no idea who is right or wrong there. I just think it’s German engineering and not much can go wrong. And if it was necessary Porsche would advice this.

What does the manual say about mud

Also, I believe that the owners manual can be an exhibit, but it is not a legal document. Then again our barrister friends can advise on that.
I noticed this video was just posted 1 day ago and it's perfect timing.

In other news...

The 90L tank holds a bit more than 90L. I don't want to find out how much more and this was not done on purpose.
