Hé guys I just went to my dealer after a nice ride (pictures will follow later today) and sat in a 992 with ventilated seats right after getting out of my T.
I can very clearly confirm the ventilated seats are indeed much harder. They are still very comfortable. So I would not see a direct issue with them. They are comfortable. But it’s very clear they are much harder than the ones from the T. You also sit a bit “higher”. At least it feels like that (seat of course in lowest position).
Thought it could be usefull for who thinks this is important and has no option to test them out.
@celestequattro I have booked a oil engine and filter change for the 29th of this month, by which time the car should have done approx 1,200 miles.
I was not planning on gearbox though. I have always changed oil and filter at or around 1,000 miles on all my cars as I still think a first oil change at 12K -20 K as is sometimes the case now days is still far too long. Surprising what you find in the filter after the first change?
Hope you are still enjoying your T I most certainly am.

Is there an official "break-in" oil-change and other fluid change service on Porsche's maintenance schedule for the 992? I think it was previous BMW M cars that I've owned that did have an early oil and diff fluid change after break-in period, but does the 992 have something similar too, or you guys just being overly cautious and pro-active about these fluid changes early on? Just wondering as I do not have my 992 yet.
Nothing official from Porsche. Official first oil change requirement is 10k miles or 1yr.... But I just can't wrap my head around how that's a good idea so I'd rather spend the money on an extra change for the peace of mind.
@masmole yup just cautious as hoping it will be a long term keeper. I don’t see any downside but wonder if gearbox is OTT. Probably do it anyway. Only reason not to is if it is still breaking in and needs the bits of metal to be floating around to aid this process. The aforementioned is a product of my own imagination and if I really believed it I wouldn’t be getting the oil changes done. I guess I’ll know in 30 years time 😂
@Devon Racer still enjoying the T but struggling a bit with the HOLD function. Not convinced it’s working 100% and miss a proper hand brake. Had an embarrassing roll back at a T junction near home and the wife won’t drive it for fear of a hill start. Something to take a look at during the oil change. Good to hear you are still enjoying yours.
Funny that some of you say the break-in period should be done according to the Porsche manual, but with changing oil listening to Porsche doesn’t matter. They advice not to change the oil. What could be the reason? The reason for the break-in period is mainly legal.
