Greggles991 are you planning to order a tea shirt ? I think I will go to the site and order giving my daughters temporary US address, but as it will not match my credit
card it might not accept payment. Are you going to order or wait for overseas delivery? Do you want to use my US address? Devon Racer
Well, no surprise I'm Starting to get very impatient! I know I have no right to be since so far I have been incredibly lucky on timing, but my T arrived in Davisville, RI on the 11th/12th via the Supreme Ace and now its just sitting in the port lot. I was told by the logistics company who handles the Euro Delivery cars that it would only take them 24-48 hours to get it to the dealer once it landed... Sounds like a few other guys in the waiting room are having the same delay in Davisville... hope its not an ongoing issue. Whats killing me is that I know I have an additional 3-4 day waiting period for PPF on top of this haha
Had a great drive through Colorado canyon roads to a coffee meetup with a few Porsche friends yesterday morning, made a new one too (he was driving a 992 GT3). On the drive back had a chance to introduce myself to the Pitkin county sheriff's department. 58 in a 40 or 45? Very friendly and was fortunate to get a warning. She said the car smelled like it was being driven hard (fans running, brakes) although I had been behind a slow moving Subaru for all but the 3 minutes before meeting her. She very kindly asked me to slow it down as they've had to deal with some bad motorcycle accidents lately.
I might need to look into a mirror-tap, etc to get my detector installed.

Ha, she probably smelled the WRX leaking oil?! Just kidding, probably wasn’t a WRX if it was going slow. My audio guy said he’d do the wiring to mirror to add radar detector for a $100. Seems reasonable? Anyone have any good recommendations on a radar detector? Haven’t used one in ages……Are they really good these days?

You let a Dodge Ram cop catch you? LOL. I guess it's Colorado after all. Warning was very nice. Oh, and did you tell her it's new, these things smell like they're on fire for the first 1k miles of ordinary driving! That's what happens when engines are placed in a nearly sealed box. You should smell my Caymans after some driving.
Mirror tapping easy an easy DIY. Uniden R7 or R8. LOVE LOVE LOVE mine! I hadn't used a radar detector for 30 years and went back to it just a few years ago. They are amazing. GET ONE WITH DIRECTIONAL ARROWS! I will never go without arrows again. the Unidens are top banana these days. So much programmability so you can custom tailer them for your needs are area. The R8 is the best, but the R7 is excellent too if you want to find a used one for half the price. Hell, I bought the R3 at first for $100, but the BSM falses were killing me so I sold it for $225(!) and bought a used R7 for $300.
There are many, but this vid is very helpful in doing the wire tap install. WARNING: In the 992, there is one screw on the passenger side of the ceiling mount behind that trap door by the light. Take that out and the rest of the steps are the same.
Greggles991 it is not working for me it is accepting overseas delivery but I don't use any of the payment methods comes with old card details and extinct address.
I am going to call them in the morning.
Edit: Speaking of pics. I love seeing my T on building glass reflections. Cant be the only one. Took this one recently. Zoomed in later to find guy walking his dog staring. When I ordered the T, I didn’t think I’d get that much attention with the black color selection. It’s sometimes overwhelming. I’m pretty sure its mainly due to the beautiful 992 design!
Great angle ECNJ, would be even better if we could see you in your side mirror… that would be rather interesting:
