^ My only problem with the Akrapovic exhaust is that the tip comes in silver. My OEM exhaust tip is high gloss black which fits the look of my car. Do you happen to know if Akrapovic offers a high gloss black as the tip for their exhaust as well?

You can use your stock tips. They are bolted to the bumper.

Any idea if a catback exhaust like the Akrapovic you installed would cause you to fail an emissions test?

They do not come in any other color besides their "titanium finish." You could always get them painted though, but that color looks very nice in person.

If you're going for that F1 sound then it'll be worth the price tag!

Depends on where you're located but for the most part, if you aren't in California then you'll be fine lol.

You will pass emissions fine even in CA. Anything after the cat you are okay.

Have my Kline system on order, should be arriving sometime in Feb. Getting full system w headers, sport cats and flap regulated exhaust. I went w SS over inconel so price actually wasn't bad.

I don’t know, this video doesn’t seem to be doing it justice. Akrapovic seems to be the winner so far

No, it is after the cats. No impact on emissions.

Correct. I had black tips also OEM w/my PSE but with the Akrapovic install was okay with then swapping out their new tip design as it didn't change much aesthetically on my vehicle's rear end. Can keep OEM tips or replace with Akrapovic or any other tips you like or get them painted if so desire as said they mount into the diffuser in the bumper not the exhaust itself in the 992's. Dealers's choice as they say.

Original OEM exhaust w/black tis

Akrapovic exhaust install - rear completed

Akrapovic 992 Tips - Sport Exhaust

I went with the Akropovic Exhaust and 200 Cat. The sound in exhaust on is glorious. And in normal mode with exhaust off, it is as quiet as the stock exhaust

refined sound improvement

Does the addition of cats require remapping the ECU?

Im wondering how much replacing the cats changes the sound compared to just the slip on race pipes alone?

I was told that the cats would not require a remapping of the ECU. However, the Exhaust does. I went with the AMR ECU flash upgrade. My increase in power is about 120 and the same increase in torque.
