Great question. Yes, it is the slate grey standard leather interior. At the time of order, I originally went with full leather and chalk stitching. I made a couple changes before my allocation locked and somehow the full leather with chalk fell off the build (everything else was fine) and didn't find out until after the car was well underway to the port. Not a big deal as I was on the fence anyway over it and it saved me $3800 not getting it, plus the dealer gave me an additional % discount for the minor mishap. After now spending the last hour in the car learning the infotainment and whatnot, I can honestly say the standard 992 interior is such a step up to me vs the 991 interior, that it doesn't even bother me that I didn't go full leather. It's that good, in my opinion.
Congratulations on finally getting your new 992!

Really bad bad bad analogy...anyone who has ever been at a carousal knows that a good handful of passengers will walk out of the airport without a bag and only the promise that it will be found or just as bad a beaten up bag with your unmentionables hanging out - lets hope that is not the case for anyone at this carousal !!!!!

Congrats to everyone, I'm honestly happy for all of you. Too bad some of you will never buy a Porsche again because of this experience, they are such great cars.

Text from my SA today read "I checked and they are going by chronological order for release. There are quite a few older units than yours . . . and might not have a clear time frame for your car for a few days." My car is at Benicia and arrived on November 14. I am happy they are releasing on chronological order as it seems quite fair.

ha—I love this analogy. I mostly fly long-haul and standing at the carousel after a 10-hour flight hoping my bag is such a good analogy :-)

My SA called me last night to say they expected the car to arrive today. A couple days to do the inspection, get the paperwork to me, transact the sale, and find a truck means it should be headed my way early next week. Probably too optimistic, but hoping for arrival by the 17th for date night :-)

True, but the airlines seem to consistently deliver the baggage in a First In / Last Out policy. sic. "So you checked in early? Well now, we'll teach you not to do that again!"

I agree—even flying business or first I have sometimes been one of the last bags. But the part of the analogy I like is the idea that it has been a long trip, and the end is finally in sight, and now we are waiting with pretty specific anticipation that, regardless of the exact order, the bags/cars are coming :-)

FYI I just booked Reliable for a San Fran to Pa delivery, pickup Monday and its 2k...which is the best fast quote I've gotten for something like this from a big company ever, so give them a call now!
