In any case, figured I would close out my 4 month 10x/day check-in on this thread with a few pics of the car which arrived an hour ago. Clear turn signal lights are in the garage and will go on later, unfortunately along with the 20-21 winter wheel set from Suncoast. Best of luck to all of you. PS -- I still have no firm confirmation of any service plan from PCNA, but have a call into the dealer and intend to stay on him for that
Pity, I did that in August to a register a 996 so that I could re-sell it.Was in the line at 4:30am and finally left DMV an hour after it opened at 9:00 am having registered the car and then getting it inspected. inspection took all of two minutes. Hopefully it is not as bad anymore. I am happy though that I have a NJ dealer so that I won't have to repeat the process.

I agree I hand it to all the fine people waiting for as long as they have. I signed beginning of October at my dealer in NJ and car is getting onto a boat today and will be here on the 18th as long as CARB is passed by the 18th. I know now that I do not think I could do this again. It is great to get he build that I wanted but in truth my Boxster was taken off the lot and except for one or two minor options I did not want it was not too far from how I would have specked it myself.

Absolute respect to all those that have endured the long wait

I ordered August, build “should” start in a week or two, then be delivered to the UK just after Christmas......

Sod’s law build will get delayed, it won’t ship until the new year and dealer will try and saddle me with another 10% Brexit tax if no deal is agreed.

At this point I won’t take the car, demand my deposit back, technically that would breach my original contract with the dealer as they are changing the terms.

I’ll then sit it out for a bit until everything calms down and see if they still have the car, offer them below list to shift it 😉

🤣🤣🤣, sore at nobody, maybe the French, but who isn’t 😉

Murphy is a well known relation to Sod, best mates as I understand it, always putting best laid plans straight down the toilet.

Well Friday the 4th of December, supposedly the magic date for all those cars in CARB purgatory, is rapidly drawing to a close. Has anyone heard what is going on? Any firm information out there?

See post earlier in thread (2:01 pm EST) including note from CARB staffer. Earliest is end of next week.

Need TYD to update so that we can have a new date to get excited about. They should throw us a curve ball and pick a day other than Friday!

been getting weekly push back updates. Now just heard from dealer that there is no update and maybe by evening. I guess they’re all on to us now and saying not to divulge any more information. Looks like 12/4 is turning out to be a bust.

My SA told me they have a call with the regional director soon and he'll let me know the outcome.
