If it isn't on the ship (which I bet it is --trying to be optimistic here) maybe they could try to locate one similar from another dealer--at a substantial discount?

I was able to register the VIN on the My Porsche app with ID & commission paperwork too. Helps when taking delivery so you’ll have the Porsche connect code ready to go!
Has your previous 992 found a new home yet?

Yes. Dealer bought it back (so no money lost after the issues I had). Sold in less than a week for $125k with a $136k sticker (948 miles)

Not bad

Getting the thread back on the rails.

Looks like the ship is out of range. So waiting for it to make it across the Atlantic before it updates again.

The Edward Scissorhands 992!
Back on track, is anyone going to get the Marine App to track the ship while it's out of range?

Yes, he was devastated...Not so much about his car as it could be repaired, but they would desecrate his plate. I will leave it there. Hope you are enjoying your new ride.

It might be...I noticed the mileage keeps decreasing...only 1740 miles to Santa Marta last check...

So far TYD has been pretty accurate tracking our shipments. Sometime I just pay the $.99 for the 24 hour satellite updates.

I’ve been tempted to get a Vietnam veteran plate but with the current political climate, maybe not. Reminds me of the way we were treated during that war.

if it isn't on the ship it will take the dealer 3 days to clean up their office as the top of my head will come clear off my shoulders. At some point even a train comes to a stop...and that would be the point for me. Time, as always, shall tell 😷

TYD and the map may not be reliable, but I found that the mileage (to your dealer) was accurate - at least for me. Nothing else updated--but at least that did.

What site are you using, Marine Traffic? I was going to use the free 7 day trial, but really do not want to be hassled by the site when I would only be interested in this one ship.

Yes, marine traffic. I downloaded the app, $4.99 on my ipad and iphone. You set up a free account and then can pay .99 for 24 hour satellite tracking.
