Also tried to disable start stop, it said: start stop failure, upon additional car restart, error was gone, but start stop remained the same. my car is 2020 911 T S, german version.

There is no documented method to permanently disable start/stop using PIWIS - it appears to be locked for emissions and compliance concerns.
Correct, but certain VARs have managed to disable it (don't remember what the company was or whether the product needed to be permanently connected to the OBD port). An elusive and annoying dream alas
Hi guys! I have tried to read through all 55 pages of this thread.... but I get lost (I think personally coding with PWIS is above my skill level). So forgive me if this has already been asked/answered.
I have a 2021 992.1 Targa 4s.
1) Can the illumination of the numbers on instrument gauges (physical tach and screen for the others) be changed from white to green (Heritage gauge style). I have a white tach and black sport chrono and I would like to change to guagefaces.com heritage style faces, but would like to change the numeral colors to match (see pics of what I have and what i am trying to get to (from another members pic).
2) My speedometer gauge (immediate left of the tach) only has two display settings when i select that gauge and roll the wheel to change images: Speedo only WITH NOT FULL NEEDLE, JUST THE TIP* OR Nav instructions (again see pics). On another thread on this members suggested that the FULL NEEDLE view was a 21 ---> 22 change and that *maybe* it could be coded in. CAN IT?
3) Probably related to #2 above, I also do not have (or cant find) the option to switch from 5 guage display to 3 gauge display. It was suggested that is might also be a code-able 21 ---> 22 change?
if any of the answers are yes..... there is beer, coffee, bbq in it for anyone in austin who has a PWIS and will help me code them
Thanks in advance

* I can already hear the bad just the tip jokes!
Another Rennlister's very sexy Heritage gauges....note the green numbers on the perimeter of the tach, speedo, clock and temp/fuel gauges. Can i get this on my non-heritage 2021 992.1?
My car... White Tach, middle left gauge
My car middle left gauge in speedo only mode---note NOT full needle
No you can't change to Heritage via coding as there's a physical difference between the standard and Heritage display.
As to lighting, it would be so easy for P to change the dash lighting as with the ambient lighting, but until someone tells P that they can charge another $1,500 bucks for changing the wavelength on LED backlights I wouldn't hold my breath
Spool it as pdf file from PIWIS - it will take an hour or more to do this though. Another method provided by Sr. McLean
📄 How to convert XML to clean, editable HTML (cross-platform):
You need to look for FAP_xxxx.zip in Data/PiwisUserData/PIDT/Protokolle/FAP. It contains all the style sheets and files that you need. Just unzip this to your Mac and run the command. If you don’t specify the output location further, it will put the file to your User-directory.
1️⃣ Place your XML file (fap.xml), the main XSL file (display-html.xsl), and any imported files (like constants-DE-de.xsl) into the same folder.
2️⃣ Open your terminal (macOS/Linux) or WSL (Windows).
3️⃣ Run this command:
xsltproc --output output.html display-html.xsl fap.xml
✅ The result is a lightweight HTML file (output.html) with working internal links.
✅ You can open and edit the HTML in any browser and word processor
⚠️ Note for Windows users: Install xsltproc via WSL (Ubuntu) or MSYS2/GnuWin32 if needed.
I was just able to log back into piwis and had it open the VAL file, it somehow displayed a PDF file. took at 5 mins for it to open the VAL though. After that I went into file explorer and looked for a pdf file. I was able to copy that one over to a usb drive to review for later. it has about 1200 pages for a 992, so it should be complete.
I went to BCM1 - deactivating start/stop, there were 3 options:
1: code : 52220 or similar ( i forgot what it was),
2: Active
4: Not Active
And while playing with start stop i put the wrong code now, can somebody look into it and tell me what it is ? Car is 2020 911 TTS.
Start stop is inactive now, with a warning that its an error of course. Which is fine to me, but if ill go to get an extended warranty in 3 months, they may not like this error.
Also, any ideas on PIWIS3 PDK reset procedure? when i go to piwis, then pdk and all that procedure it tells me to switch off inition, i do that, and nothing happens. I saw in other videos where it tells to wait 5 sec and turn on ignition again, but for me it tells nothing when i switch off, i waited few mins still nothing, repeated it several times too with no result.

Matrix should be active now with NAR Canadian dataset.
I always try and code anything I can on my own as that is my nature, but after @RNLST (one of the best PIWIS coders), spent over an hour getting mine to work perfectly, I would say this is the one thing, so far, best left up to the experts. YMMV - Side note, I love the active matrix lights.
