Does anyone make a scanner for the 992 besides the PIWIS 3?

Thanks green_911 for the link. I was able to purchase the obd module from said company and it was seamless. plugged it in, PCM rebooted after 45 seconds and restarted. it unlocked features in USA that are blocked while driving, i.e. inputting navi address, accessing menu screens. Im sure i could insert a sd card and play a video if I wanted. Thanks for the info and link!

Hit up Tony @ True Performance in Lake Forest (Irvine). He is an independent that has a PIWIS III will full subscription to Porsche. Was able to do the full coding on my 992. Tony is the real deal.

Any idea as to what coding options he is available to "update". As you read, lots of interest in enabling Full Matrix functionality, up/down windows on key fob, Video in Motion, etc.

Porsche techs are a little but different than those of VW/Audi/BMW, you're not going to get to watch them recode the car and they are not going to tell you the exact steps they took.
They have a tendency to keep their cards close to the chest and not share their technical knowledge with others. While you can buy a knockoff PIWIS III tester on the internet, they are not the same as a Independent Repair Facility license.
The PIWIS III tester and software for independent mechanics is not cheap, were talking over $28K for the first year and $18K thereafter. There is also a boatload of rules to follow, hence that's why the Indies operate they way they do.

I'm only sharing this from my own personal experience, I have recoded thousands of Volkswagens and Audis for customers in the past. With the VCDS you can pretty much do most everything that the VAS 6150 C can, and I had access to one to hem with full ODIS subscription to do key/cluster swaps and OEM software revision updates.

That is not to say that the knowledge will not trickle down eventually and that the 992 PIWIS III updates will be cracked, only time will tell.
