What I have noticed from all the videos by different manufacturers, 992 exhaust sound doesn't change much with cat-back only systems. You need to combine cat-back with a less restrictive catalytic converters to get a louder exhaust. I have been reading here that the best exhaust mod (for sound), currently, for 992s is switching to sport cats.

With that said, I'm still waiting on my SOUL cats...going into my 8th week now.

Message me your order details - you'll likely have them much sooner than that!

We've recently brought on six new fabricators to our team and part of our new initiative was to do a run of 992 Sport Catalytic Converters.

Most just have to go through final QC with Adam. Adam has a keen eye for quality control and is responsible for making sure welds look good and our Signature Satin finish is applied to perfection. The finishing process can reveal pinholes or imperfections (a rare occurrence) allowing us to make sure welds are thorough and strong.

Thanks for reaching out, I should have clarified that I ordered an iPE set. Absolutely nothing against yours - I think your quality and finish is unmet. My only reason for going with the other is because it’s part of a larger full set (header back). But for anyone doing cats alone or cats + exhaust, Soul should be the choice.

Does anyone happen to know the torque spec on the v-band clamps, or really a list of all the torque specs (if applicable) for all the exhaust components/parts?

45 min to install these? A lot easier than 991.2. Took me 4-5 hours total on a quick jack and getting creative with 1/4” tools. If I had to do it again, probably 2-3 hours...

I have a C4 with PSE (and Sports Chrono) which is nicely broken-in with about 3000 miles since February. I was pleased with the sound from the PSE, but wanted a little more volume and a deeper tone without being obnoxious. I spent a few weeks researching 4 different brands and reading a ton of threads on the forums. After talking with the folks at Soul I decided to take the plunge. I really like the look and upon receiving them, i can attest to the build quality - really solid and the satin finish is as cool in person as it looks.

The install took about 45 minutes and the tech said it was incredibly easy and fitment was spot on. No real smell after the first two minutes (including on any subsequent drives), so i guess they just needed to get warmed up that first time to burn off anything left from manufacturing. No check engine light so far after a week of driving.

The sound is exactly what i was hoping for. In Normal mode it sounds pretty similar, turn on PSE and it sounds a little deeper. In Sport mode it really opens up and has a bit more volume. The posts saying 30-50% louder feel accurate to me. Additionally, there are quite a few more burbles and pops which i also enjoy. As for any power gains, I honestly don't notice much difference. My 0-60 times were mostly consistent before and after, but i got my best time every with the new sport cats installed - 3.47 seconds (although my best was previously 3.51). Could be the cats, but could be the weather, who knows.

When all is said and done, i'm really happy i went ahead with the mod. Quick and easy to do and the sound is absolutely amazing over 6000 RPMs.

A pic for fun:

curious— what are the warranty implications!(According to your dealer or PCNA)
Thank you very much

Just had my SOUL sport cats put on my C2S. So far, I'm satisfied with the decibel gain and more prominent burbles/pops in sport mode. Do cats also have "break-in" period? Should I expect the sound to get a little louder over time?
