We have some Soul cats in stock right now.

We also have spacers, titanium lugs in black, H&R Springs, TechArt springs, TechArt adjustable springs and Akrapovic exhausts on the shelf right now.

We are located in Southern California ad we can install any of these parts at our shop in Torrance, California.

We apologize for the wait guys, if this was March pre-Covid you'd already have them. We lost a lot of our manpower for several months during the Covid shutdown while orders nearly doubled. We are now back to full manpower, constantly looking to add more skilled fabricators/welders to our experienced team, and are making huge strides in efficiencies to increase our average weekly/monthly output. However, this is something that will take time and we are very fortunate to have understanding customers that support us through our own Covid challenges. We hope you, your business, and your family are in good shape and continue to be until this all comes full circle.

Here is a photo of our team when we announced sponsoring PCA Club Racing for 2020. I'm the fellow wearing the Porsche hat to the right of the header, Mike is dead center giving the thumbs up. We all owe our livelihoods to you and the rest of our customers, and we never forget that. THANK YOU for your business.

Best regards,
John Gaydos

I've heard of the car throwing CELs with cat bypass installed. So I guess a tune is needed?

Switching gears to sport cats.
Do the sport cats also require a tune as well?
Also hard to tell - how much sound difference outside the car? 30%?

NO. Sport cats DO NOT throw a CEL. And YES bypass pipes DO throw a CEL. The word is 30-50% louder pops and idle.

Cheers, thanks.

Why do people opt for catless if it requires a tune (thereby voiding the warranty)?

Also need some advice on where to start. Sport cats, x-pipe or exhaust to get started. My shop said go with the latter rather than the sport cats. (Not looking to spend a small fortune).

Do you have any periodic emissions inspections where you live in Canada? If you do and depending on how thorough the person is who does the inspection and/or the equipment they use to perform the inspection, removing or replacing the Catalytic Converters can cause you to have a problem when it comes time to have the car inspected.

Where I live in California, simply replacing a catalytic converter that is not approved by the manufacturer (OEM) of the vehicle (or has what is called an Executive Order (E.O.) number, if it's not an OEM piece) is more than enough cause to prevent you from passing the required biannual emissions inspection and registering the vehicle. On top of that, if you ever sell the vehicle to a private party in California (not a car dealership) you as the seller are on the hook to make sure that it passes the emissions inspection. So "Caveat Emptor" when purchasing such items can be critical around these here parts. Either that, or every two years you have to convert everything back to stock to pass the emissions inspection and then you get to put all the toys back on the vehicle for the next 2 years until another emission inspection rolls around.

Not sure if you have county specific overrides, but I believe it’s only every two years starting on the fifth year for new cars, or to quote:

Inspection is not required for ”Gasoline-powered and less than four model years old.”

Because they want the most power they can get and perhaps like the raspy sound better. If I got a tune, I would have went catless. But since I want to keep my warranty, I choose to go with sport cats and no tune. Its fast enough. I did sport cats for SOUND. And my dealer doesnt care about sport cats. So I am not worried about warranty.

Most of us with sport cats are doing it for sound. Those with bypass pipes are mostly doing it because the are getting a tune to maximize all the power they can. I have yet to hear about anyone going bypass for sound only. They all seem to get a tune. Or already have a tune.

You want sport cats.

Skipping the first biannual inspection on a new vehicle does not excuse the first owner on a private party resale. That time frame is only a few weeks if I recall correctly.

Super helpful, thanks.

Did you ever consider xpipe/exhaust?
Have heard those are also decent options for sound.

You’re welcome. Nope. Sport cats with PSE are exactly what I like. If I didn’t have the PSE, then yes I’d look at exhaust or xpipe. But PSE sounds the best to me. And sport cats with PSE is perfect to me.

No, a tune doesn’t void the warranty on the car. If the car breaks however, and the dealer is able to diagnose that the cause was the tune, then they can deny warranty repair/replacement coverage for whatever component/components failed. Check out the Magnussen Moss Act.
