Default Some God awful seat squeaking/creaking...

Hey guys, it's me again!

I've driven my car about 200 miles since the radiator was replaced. After reading some of the threads where people complain about their seats creaking, I was relieved when I took delivery that my seats seemed perfectly fine.

I was driving home today and, holy crap, these squeaks are LOUD!

I've attached a video. Important note, the squeak happens any time I adjust myself while driving or go over a speed bump. The worst squeaks are when I accelerate and my back is pushed into the seat (not hard acceleration by any means, even the slightest acceleration from a dead stop induces the creaking).

It might be hard to tell from the video but I placed the camera right next to the left side of my hip.

Is this something that is going to need replacing? Thanks in advance!

Maybe I should just start a new account and post here so that doesn't keep following me, haha. I just want to address a concern about my car dammit!

Take to dealer then ?
(Apart from appearing to be yet another dangerous driver using a mobile device while driving)

I just wanted opinions from other people dealing with the same thing and wanted to know their experiences with taking it to the dealer.
I don't condone using a mobile device while driving, I turned the video on at a dead stop and it was in one hand with no cars out on the road, driving 20/30 mph for 95% of the video. I didn't look down at my phone once. If you frown upon driving with one hand under these circumstances, then I guess in your eyes I'm a dangerous driver. Sure, toward the end of the clip I pull the phone up to show a speedbump I'm going over at 5mph but still not anything dangerous.

Anyway.........................................................

Biggest questions/concerns being:

#1 If this has happened to you and you take it in to the dealership, is there a "fix" or does the seat need to be replaced completely..

#2 If the seat needs to be replaced completely, how long does the process usually take to get a brand new seat delivered + installed?

It's possible Moe removed your front seats, put them in his home theater to watch the Netflix series Tiger King, got buttered popcorn oil on them, tried to clean them up with CDC/WHO approved hand sanitizer, reinstated them after the PPF project and now they squeak& creak. This would have never happened if Moe had the proper PPE to wear while eating Orville Redenbacher.

Man that would drive me absolutely crazy. Hope it's fixed when I order my MY21.

Sorry don't have any advice to offer. And sorry people aren't being helpful. Agreed, probably worth making a new account at this point.

But then he'd have to change his vanity plate, design company name, and Instagram account.

Replacing a seat because of squeaks would be extreme; there are a range of fixes that can be applied by the dealer or as a DIY. See if you can isolate where it's coming from, then determine what materials are contacting that create the noise.

Thats annoying as hell. On a brand new car, you better believe I would take it back to the dealer. That doesn't sound like leather on leather squeak, that sounds like something in the reclining mechanism or seat rails. Take it in and see what they can do.
