Ordered a roll of Gutter Guard and plan to do this DIY. Thank you for the tip, instructions, and creative solution. Not much leaf fall in my area, but did notice my former 987s picked up,a,fair amount of detritus over the years.
Maybe this has been answered but I had a problem getting Zunsport screens installed on my 991.2 Turbo.
Took it to my area best Indie Porsche Svc shop, and when I picked it up was told by their chief Tech that with my built in K40 Radar/Laser units mounted in front of the radiators, he'd have to chop up the screens to install. Said it would not look good and that I should send em back and forget about it.
Whatayall think?
Is there a way to install the screens and have a good looking install??
I made and installed the Gutter Guard cylinders mentioned above. Easy, inexpensive, and have held up well after 2000 miles. No noticeable change in engine temp. The custom fabricated wire mesh screens look good initially, but was worried about paint chipping over time, accessing and cleaning debris that inevitably will collect behind the screens, more involved installation, and cost.

We may have the solution you are looking for! Our philosophy is to provide an OEM factory looking solution without bumper removal. We try to match factory style patterns from the GT3(4) cars of that generation. We have products for the GTS and sport design cars (991.1, 991.2, 992) and the Turbo cars (991.1, 991.2) Take a look at some of our offerings here at www.RadiatorGrilleStore.com

These don’t fit. I have the standard bumper/grill.
Make ones that fit and you’ll have your first customer. 😄
Critics of screens always bring up engine temps as a concern but I’ve yet to hear of an example where it became an issue. Damaged radiators are also also going to restrict air flow and cooling which is a much harder fix.
This pic is a locally driven used car I looked at with only 10,000 km on it. Not good!

I used this on my AMG cars...works like a charm and costs almost nothing!

@RGS Maybe put out a more detailed video for install. The 992 video was heavily edited and doesn't show exactly how the plastic cover is taken off, and how to tie the straps on each end. My biggest gripe is half the video shows installation with the bumper OFF, which totally goes against a "solution without bumper removal.

i had the same experience.
they skipped all the most difficult parts in they highly edited and chopped video.
I eventually was sick of trying to bend the middle
trim and just aborted the mission.
they’re now sitting in my garage, prob going to the trash can soon.
love the look. Install video was very subpar and skipped the hardest parts. I couldnt get the trim price back on.

The middle trim piece was my issue also. Had issues with RGS screen install on my 991.1. Was never able to reinstall middle trim piece cover on passenger side. Driver side was fine. So purchased a competitor’s product for my 992S and pleased with design and install……heavier metal too…..but higher cost.
