If so very much looks like the current GT4 model. If this is current rendering is true, I will be happy to keep my current GT 3 and wait for 992.2 GT3

I do like the rendering of the car but I am disliking the newer dash and all the electronics all the cars are fitted with now. It will be fun to watch what electronics come on the car that aren't on the current 992.

agree, no matter how hard i try, i can't get excited about anything 992. i'm grateful to porsche for making these horrible design and styling changes as i'd prefer to stop buying new and continue to enjoy the 991.2 gems that i have.

and with PAG trying to get the GT3 to appeal to a broader buyer base, can you imagine how soft and techy it will be? and how many 992 GT3s PAG will pump out? people think they made a lot of 991 GT3s...but you can be sure the 992 production numbers will be far greater.

One electronic update that I am expecting (just an educated guess) is that there will be a far better tire pressure system (probably including temperature, using the Michelin Connect technology with sensors embedded in the tread) with color-coding so you can see more easily how to adjust track pressures in real time.

Rendering is meh. If this spy photo has any truth then these are the wheels I’d want. Look fantastic and most likely very light.

Those do look light. Mules typically use wheels that do not end up on the final production version (often they don't even match front to rear), but these look finished enough to possibly be the real deal...

Also suggests that Seb's info about a Ferrari Pista style frunk could apply to the GT3 as well as RS (and even Touring, as this mule resembles)...

sharp looking wheel that’s for sure. There’s goes any order for BBS fir for the 992 if that’s the case. Look very similar. I think Porsche does it best as far as wheels are concerned. GT3 wheels are such great wheels that there’s not many you’d want to replace them with. A handful at most.

I can remember for me if it wasn’t a tuner wheel back in 01 i wouldn’t even contemplate putting it on my E46 M3. Went with Schnitzer, there’s were others that were exceptional like Hartge, Hamann, mK Motorsport among others. Nowadays a bmw goes by and I have no idea what’s on them.

I'm wondering if the adoption of the 992 will be faster or slower for those of us on the 997 to 991?

The 997 to the 991 was quite a leap in every aspect. The jump here not as much. From a distance (if we use that rendering) about 98% of people won't be able to tell any difference at all visually between the 991 and 992.

The only way I can tell a 992 heading in my direction is the flat bottom of the hood.

Ok, ok so it's the new model so you need to look forward in technology as well.

Then the question is what about the increase in power. This time it's slightly less than the 997-991 (non RS).

Everyone into the newest and latest/greatest will throw cash to the wind. No matter.

Funny thing is when I first saw the crane Wing ala 2017 RSR I thought it was hideous. But now after looking at the prototype for so long it's grown on me and now I want it!

I'll say one thing that is for sure 1000% and I think Porsche is trying to send a message. The reliable 9k rpm power from this platform is pretty much topped out. I'll bet you a beer in Amsterdam that if it wasn't for all of us whining babies (me included) wanting our NA GT cars, Porsche would say they he'll with everyone tomorrow and go Turbo on everything.
