Ironically the light in the above pic looks better, possibly because the car is black and the pic is small, however the lower rear looks like it's got some serious junk in the trunk. I'm not into big butts in real life, or on cars. None of this matters of course because we obviously already want this car. The good news is when the local dealer is not impressed by your previous purchases and wants you to wear the ADM dunce cap, you can walk him to the rear and say, MSRP or gtfo.

Totally.

Totally agree. That said, my teenage sons who previously said Porches were boring love it.

Possible that we are no longer the target audience? Say it isn't so!

I am thinking (and hoping) that the mule does not represent the appearance of the production car.

I may be in the minority but I hate the way the mule and the renders look. I hope Porsche does not release what's in the rendering. It's just so busy and bulky looking. I'll be keeping my 991.2 for a long while if this is what is to be expected with the 992 GT3.

I think the rendering looks pretty good. Still not in love with the rear and I am not a fan of the new Cluster and screen. Just too digital for me.

But - I will be sitting this out. There is not enough they can do to the 992.1 to get me to cough up my 991.2. I think the .2 is just perfect. I do not need the "latest and greatest" and this car nicely optioned will probably be over the $200,000 marker and at those prices there are better options for a lightly used second hand car that I would rather entertain.

Will be fun to sit from the stands and watch this though. No better entertainment- for sure

Not in love with the new look. But IF I can build one at MSRP I would buy it.

IMHO Porsche has lost its way. Only us the aficionados will be able to tell the last few generations apart. I have some in my garage and my friends ask which one us which one. Actually most like the 997 better than the 991. The 992 is the same as the 991 not much of a difference in my eye. It is time for Porsche to take a step into the future with its iconic Carrera shape. The pictures and rendering look to me like an overwrought effort to make a visual difference.

That would be cool!

I don't care if it is identical to the 991.2, I'm going to get one. I've had a deposit down for 8 months now at two different dealerships. I'm super excited.

Rear looks like a cluttered mess in that render. Can't be accurate.

Im sure it will drive great, I dont mind how it looks there at all either...but chasing the next and the next gets boring, especially the newer cars after you bang out a bunch of gears over a few months and lose the novelty/realize so much of that is so wildly unusable (my experience, others definitely will have a difference of opinion here!). Meanwhile, if they brought some of that wild GT fun into a wide body 4wd platform...maybe one with a "drift mode" ala mercedes where you can turn off the FWD...and some of that gearbox and suspension programming...well damn I'd be ALL in!
