Default 992 GT3 RS Turbo...

My feeling is Porsche is going to take a play from the Ferrari playbook. At the end of an era of NA for the 458. Ferrari went turbo and smaller displacement with the 3.9 for the 488. Thus faster and more powerful. I don't really think Porsche has a NA 4.2 or whatever with an HP bump planned for the 992 GT3 cars. I think they may take the current Turbo S 3.8 liter and rework it or make it a 4.0 turbo for GT cars. It's time for them to cross over and if they make a great package everyone will get over it just like they did with Ferrari. The times are a changing. AWD will be out of the picture as that goes against the nature of the car. PAG has proven they can put the power down and have virtually nil for turbo lag like in the 2RS. If they do this they'll upset some purists just like Ferrari did. But time and sales still marched on. I will be very surprised if the 992 GT cars are NA, very surprised. What do you think?

The GT3 and RS are generally related to their racing counterparts which show no such imminent change to turbocharging...

I'd vote for a lighter better handling car with the same hp.👍

Hybrid is next
Now a Hybrid with a NA is still keeping their NA promise in my book

The last few years the factory verbage on retaining NA has wavered and since then I've seen the conditional type stuff "....GT cars will remain NA .... as long as NA is competitive in racing..."
Sounds like an escape clause to me

If they put the old V10 or V12 diesel in a GT car I would be first in line.

My bet and hope, if they go hybrid, is N/A with KERS and minimal weight gain.

If they go turbo I will be sad. The N/A engine sounds just so much better IMO, especially with Dundon headers.

Not that I wouldn’t get a 992 in addition, but I will hang on to the last N/A 3RS they make and probably never sell it.

992 GT3 RS will be NA, i seen it in real life in germany

It will be NA flat 6 something like 530/540hp BUT the big difference will be the aero, it will be incredible
No trunk on front, or just enough for a lady bag (not full) design close to the 488 pista on the front
Completely new kinematic and suspension

The objective will be a lap time same as the 991 GT2 RS on ring so 6.47min

That sounds about right, Seb

And I imagine the 992 GT3 will have the frunk, but around 520-530hp and lap time about same as 991.2 RS (sub-7) without R tires...
