I love my 991. No issues with the 992 but i find it very difficult to find real issues with my car. The look of my car with its big butt and active spoiler is just classic. Still can't resist turning to look at it when walking away after parking.
I don't use the GPS for anything and prefer to listen to the car instead of the radio so the new impressive screen and dash are non starters for me. I have full leather interior so my interior space and gauge cluster are perfect for me.
So beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. Dated i think not.

I like the 992. A lot of folks morn the passing of the larger N/A engine. I liked my old Cayman with the 3.4 and like my current fist gen 9A1 3.8 N/A six. However, what current and future 2nd and 3rd owners will like most about the 992 isn't its rear end, or its Bergmister or whatever super sound system you can't hear under hard driving anyhow, or its Lexus like interior. It will be the fact it's a turbo engine and relatively easy and affordable to increase performance of. Just like earlier generations of Porsche turbo cars like the original 930 and 951 big horsepower is easy. Already designed as a forced induction car the inners are correct ( up to a point) so mods happen without a tear down. The turbo plumbing is in place with all the pieces. Just change out for bigger parts. Turbos, intercoolers, injectors, piping etc.
AND it's a very attractive body style. It won't suffer the fate of the 996 ( sorry, but a budget and necessary chapter Car not helped by engine issues). Let's just hope it isn't the last 911 that really is a 911, meaning hybrid or worse fate.
