I would love some advise on how to set this up. I’ve had my dealer out fo my house and had Homelink on the phone - absolutely unable to get this to sync to any of my 3 garage door openers. Help please !

Did you clear HL first?
Do you have a lot of LED lighting in the garage?

Syncing was simpler than the old one. I pressed once when asked, then again when the motor light blinked. Now, some models may require to press the learn button on the motor.
Beware, it's very aggravating to use regardless. No button. It calls the screen based on its location (9 out of 10 times), so as you arrive it works. Once you park, the screen may be gone, so you need to call it to close the gate.
To get out, you need to call the screen (I setup #2 as shortcut) but as you back up, you need to stop the car in Park for the rear camera go away and you manage to close. Maybe.
Very, very moronic. I'll give up soon and use the clicker. Also grow a 'stache to complete the 80's look.

There are several threads across the Panamera and Cayenne boards discussing issues with Homelink. One theory is that holding the remote button for the first part of the pairing process doesn't work. You have to press/release repeatedly to get the car to learn the remote. Then follow the instructions from that step on.
Another issue that originated with the '18 Panamera and seems to have impacted the new Cayenne is related to Lane Keep Assist. Apparently that system somehow interferes with Homelink pairing. Pulling the fuses turns it off, then you can pair, and reinsert fuses. No idea if that's relevant to the 992. But I would certainly ask the dealer to reference the Panamera document on troubleshooting this issue for you.

Wow. Super interesting. I just retested with all LEDs turned off but no success. The big difference with the 992 and the Cayenne is that the 992 does not have a physical button. Everything is done on the PCM. The Homelink is activated via GPS location. Muck like the Tesla system. I will now try the Lame Assist deactivation. ! Thanks so much !

Because the 992 is new, the instructions in the PCM (and other Porsche documents) do NOT work. You need to call Homelink. They have updated info, and will walk you thru the setup procedure.
Mine works now.

For me the pairing was pretty straightforward, however the daily operation sucks. It is very erratic, sometimes it works flawlessly (rare), most of the time it does not. I have one of the hard buttons programmed that when I press the Homelink screen will come up, this works about 60% of the time I need it to work. Compare that to my wife's Tesla- the garage automatically opens and closes when we are approx. 30-50 feet from the garage. Failure rate <5%. Shows Silicon Valley is the world's powerhouse for software.
