it’s a fun build... not as tricky as the GT3RS or RSR 😃
Enjoy!

Looking forward to start. The GT3 and RSR are technic, definitely more complicated. I'll be lowering both models (check it on YouTube) after I'm done with this one.

Brilliant! I didn’t realise that could be done... I’ll check out the videos and may mod both versions... although the GT3RS is sitting nicely in its display case 😅

Finally got these in the mail from Amazon. Small but nice update to my key and to differentiate things. See before and after. Easy to disassemble and re-assemble!

The pin is not removable. It has a flat one side that helps when you stretch the tether hole to uninstall and install.

Thanks. I was about to try to remove the original tether from the pin this afternoon, but I decided to first try to put the new cap on the filler to m ake sure it would fit properly. The new cap was very hard to screw down, and when I removed it and compared it to the original cap, I discovered that the cylindrical portion of the original cap is longer than that of the new cap.

use a small flathead screwdriver to pry it off at the eyelet. Rubber flexes and it’s easy to get off and then reverse to get new one on there. Looks nice...better than OEM Aluminum look one at Suncoast. Where did you get it? 👀

Also Just saw other post and it may not be a fit for the 992 model. Recall having a billet metal gas cap from an aftermarket vendor for my 997 that I loved and transferred to my 981 Cayman that would NOT fit on my 991. Never understood why the vendor never updated the cap for the new model. Maybe this is what u have and why fit maybe is an issue...as would fit a Carrera but not the current model? 🧐
