What did you buy your 992 today thread

@mdrobc1213 ,so having spent some time reflecting on this, I believe the way this is meant to be mounted is as follows:
1) Open engine compartment
2) Place washer on long screw
3) Push screws (one at a time) through plastic slats where you want to mount it. Either temporarily thread it on the badge while you futz with the second screw or use a clothespin to prevent screw from slipping back out
4) Thread the screws onto badge using a socket or wrench.
So in this case you're working from the bottom up rather than top down. The only thing I don't like about that set up is the fact that unless the screw is the correct length as it makes it's way through you'll either need to add more washers or cut the screw with a Dremel to avoid it protruding through the top of the badge.
I hope that helps.

I don't believe so or at least I haven't. The issue with Loctite is that if you ever want to remove it, the plastic slats are very delicate by forcing the nut loose you just might break something. I would finger tight plus a "scoche" and check regularly by just feeling if it moves to the touch.

No, it was a one off.
Plenty of other badges in memory of past races, Treffen's, cars etc. as I mentioned above on Etsy, eBay etc. This one, however, "felt" right.
Thanks

Picked up my 992S on Friday. Happy Fathers Day to me! Here is what I have done so far:
Install Zunsport radiator grills
Install quick connect to battery terminals for battery tender
New floor mats
Schedule window tint install
It took more time to learn and adjust all the settings in PCM 6.0 than completing everything else in the above list. Wow! What an upgrade over my 2013 991.1S PCM. No problems at all with home link or disabling ***.

nice! I think you’re one of the firsts to paint the gt3 side skirts.

Yes. I use a Deltran “Battery Tender” maintainer and have installed the Deltran quick connects to the battery terminals on all my cars and Harley. Search Deltran Battery Tender on Amazon or Google Deltran battery tender. I personally prefer direct connect to battery instead of the CTEK system that charges through the wiring harness. Other members opinions differ.

Yep that was my point and why it took me so long to mount it. It's interesting to note how most if not all have mounted the PCA badge on the driver's side while I went with the passenger side.
Plenty of choices on Etsy and eBay as I mentioned, but you have to wait for the right one to give you a nod.

Over the long wait for my 992 C4S I’ve slowly, but surely cleaned up and improved my garage. So I suppose I’ve “bought” the stuff to make a proper home for it. Not too crazy compared to some of the baller set ups out there but I think it’s turning out pretty good….
also added a little “art project”…turned the factory photos into b+w and hung them up in some frames I had laying around…
