It's a personal taste item...and I am biased on this one as a chalk buyer.
Here goes...in the first pic the wheels make a powerful statement to the eye as does the SD package and the sideskirts...there's a lot going on. My opinion (which is worth nothing) is this wheel choice is more of a classic look, and would look more appropriate without SD or sporty sideskirts, which go in another direction. Second combo looks appropriately put together. Go with what speaks to you!

Black wheels, IMHO, make the car look aggressive which pairs nicely with the SD package. Side skirts and SPASM would finish that aggressive look.

Option one (chalk with the forged/ non-black wheels) was my spec until I chickened out right before lock (and switched to GT silver). I am having regrets on that move - keep the chalk/ crayon, and either wheel choice is great (the first forged wheels will probably be most impressive in person given the airy open look, though the black is kind off a panda-like look which works really well).

Well, since you asked. First, to be sure we are thinking the same thoughts, I'm not talking about any wheels other than those that are totally black. A silver rim makes all the difference, harking back to the original Fuchs alloys. But, going back still further, black wheels first showed up on Porsche 907s in the late '60s. When asked about them, the explanation for their appearance was simply that silver alloy wheels look terrible when covered with disc-brake dust, and Porsche didn't want their race-winning cars to appear in post-race photographs with filthy wheels. All black was thought to be better. That "look," however, does nothing for a street car. On a road-going Porsche, all-black alloys end up looking like something you see on a taxicab and a damn ugly one at that.
Oh, wait, are they supposed to look rugged, somehow masculine, depict strength? They don't. At best, they say "poser." In all cases, they reinforce the notion that that the car's owner is too lazy to keep up the appearance of the car.
You asked.

My preference is for black. I had them on my 981 GTS and the GT4 is black on black as well. Girlfriend did satin black on her 718. Actually I only do black wheels.
It is extremely subjective and very personal though.
They don't look cheap to me and they certainly aren't used to hide dirt or highlight my laziness.
Regardless of the opinions here, it's up to you OP. Are you leaning into one design more than the other?

Gee, how did I know this would turn into a food-fight?
That's not what I said. Not even close.

I stress I don't mean you any offense and that I don't care. I'm often misunderstood. Sharing only for an additional data point.
