I can and happy to in private message... I've already referred a customer to him.... to be fair my build was $178500 so maybe he will give you 4% but ask for the 5% ...

Message me and I'll give you his contact info and the dealership he is with

My technique is I send a single email to three sales associates at 3 different dealerships where I'd consider buying from. The email clearly shows the 3 email addresses so the recipients definitely know I am shopping the offer. I tell them I am ready to place a deposit for a new order at the highest discount off MSRP that I had seen posted on the forum. Usually one of the three comes through.

Not sure why you don't want to publicly list the salesman's name or work email address as it is basically free advertising. You are not giving his personal cell or email address.

If the salesman starts advertising he'll do 4%, then that becomes the new standard for him (and eats into his earnings). If he's getting most deals done at 2%, why advertise the fact that he gave the last customer 5% or 6%?

because he asked me not to, and because the build is something he wants to look at before accepting 5%..

That said, you have an amazing A$$ ... Can I have your contact info?

I was referred to a dealer by Sam this week and had placed my order yesterday with 5% discount. My car will be due by Feb. The SA told me he is open for more orders with the same discount. Thanks much to Sam for a good find.

No discounts here when you add back the dealer fees on the sales contract.

Willing to go out of state? Where are you located? As a heads-up to all please include your location in your avatars as it can help at times.

You guys are chasing a deal that will never work out well.

I will buy mine locally within the price range . A thousand dollars or so dollars saved in another state that has no demand for the car is not worth my time. They have no clue in getting the title to me with the proper ad val situation in GA.

The best deal is to order the car like you want it. Pay cash and never look back.

I live within four miles of two Porsche dealerships and very close to the North America Porsche Headquarters.

I'll do OK.

That's terrible car buying advice. 5% on my order is $8k. That's a decent chunk of change. While I won't fuss over a few hundred dollars, 5k or more is worth some legwork to me.

There's a sentiment in the 992 forum that shopping for a deal is uncouth. Another discount thread has similar responses. Meanwhile my friend shopped and got almost 8% off his Cayenne saving 10 grand. If you have so much money that 10k is nothing to you - good for you, but remember not everyone is rolling in it.
