Hard to screw up ordering a Tesla, but could live with lifelong regrets building a Porsche.
I’m regretting not getting PCCB’s after finding out how expensive they are to install by a dealer. $9k with the build or $25k+ dealer installed!

IMO; seems like a no brainer as the dealer doesn't seem to add much value for a buyer that knows what they want. I'm not picking on the dealer, it's just that the model is fusty, hasn't kept pace (ie: music, movies, books, etc).
I haven't owned a Tesla so not certain if people like that approach but my kids would prefer to order their cars online, never having to deal with a person. I still prefer a handshake but reading through this forum, I'm not certain that makes sense anymore.

Has anybody purchased from a dealer in a different state from where they live and then take delivery at a Porsche Experience Center? I'm curious as to where the inspection, delivery, etc is performed. Example: If I live in SoCal but order from an east coast dealer is the car delivered first to the dealer, prepped then shipped or does it go right from the boat to the Experience Center?

As an OEM option, the PCCBs is one of biggest a la carte bargains Porsche offers.

When I was working on the list of what I needed for installing my PCCB take-offs the cost from the dealer for everything would have been closer to $33k so if yes, if one wants them new on the car I agree!

since your build isn't locked, that is a smart choice... my research leads me to believe these brakes could outlast the car's lifetime... and considering how much I hate break dust, that alone makes the money worth it.

Curious how the dealer model works; do they have an allocation of cars for the year or is it 'first come first serve' basis?
If its based on allocation (x cars/year) then I can see why a dealer would want to limit the discounts given to outside their state.

Allocations are usually issued in batches throughout the model year and based on many variables such as past performance, etc. They can also earn more allocations based on how many they sell during the year.
