As I said in another similar thread, I can’t prove it but I believe I got moved up in the queue when I didn’t balk at full MSRP or $5k cc deposit. Certainly didn’t hurt. And today Porsche emailed me the 2nd of 4 “Follow the production” saying my “vehicle was now scheduled for production.”

I got a 5% discount off MSRP from my 992 C4 - which comes to about $7k. With my spec MSRP was $140k. I will be getting mine during Spring of 2020 so have to place my order around February. Factory is supposedly only taking orders with 60 day lead times according my dealer.

5% to 10% discounts in OZ - they are not moving

Yes but you have to remember a decent spec is well over 300k in the first place eg double US pricing - nonetheless they are not moving.
My feeling is they have over cooked the pricing down under - for example I priced up a speedster and it came out at 600k. That's a lot for a chop top GT3 albeit a very nice one. So basically they have room to move at least that's what appears to be the case down here.

Not surprised - we are a small but expensive market.
The way way you have to look at is an M3 in OZ is at the price point of a GT3 in the US and a GT3 in OZ is at the price point of a 488GTB.
😀👍
Conversely if you are an aficionado, cars here last forever due to the generally warm to hot dry climate.
