Here is my 4th photo... Looking through the window it certainly looks like there are seats This photo was 4/29/23, supposedly done, now I'm out of mfg on 7/12/23. 2.5 months later...
This is quite a puzzle we have in front of us. If PCNA said _ANYTHING_ it would be helpful. What do we get, ... crickets....
I'm sure it is some part...

So it can’t be the 18-way seats. WHAT IS IT THEN? There has to be a reason. Why would they randomly build some cars and not finish them. Where do they even store them?
EDIT: at least BMW has an API that people can use to learn if there is a “stop sale” on the car DBS what is causing it. But honestly, I doesn’t make it any better. People are just waiting all the same. Randomly.

Having seen what’s been going on (not just with Porsche, but I saw the same or even worse with BMW last year) I suggest not stressing about it. There’s nothing you can do and nothing that’ll fix the problem either. Patience. One day your new 911 will arrive and all the nightmares will be forgotten very quickly. I know it’s hard now. I waited 3 month for my M4 at port with others being built after mine and delivered ahead of mine in my same city (while my car sat at Bremerhaven, the port BMW uses).

@alin2, we will probably be catching the same boat. My T arrived at the Port on 5/22 and is also heading to Baltimore. Curious, what do you have as your placeholder date for step 8? Mine is still stuck on 5/23.

@Alex.In.M0tion @RedBiker Looks like we're all trying to make the same ship to Baltimore. My ultimate destination is Chicago.

To an extent, I understand that and appreciate your response. I know I can’t do anything by stressing about it. But I could buy another car that’s ready to go…. Some of us make plans based on the expected dates Porsche provides and I think some delay is reasonable but indefinite delays are not. Technically, I’ve been delayed in production for over a month *for now*. My worry is what if the production is delayed for longer and longer and then I hit the shipping delays. If something is really holding things up and instead of July, Porsche expects the car to be delivered to me in September. Heck, I’ll go buy another car that’s ready right now. That I can control and do. Empty promises and expectations with no explanation is what bothers me.
If you can afford it, why not. Go get something to keep you entertained in the meanwhile. After all, you only leave once.
(someone said that quote is wrong… you only die once, but you live many many days.)
Anyhow, time is passing by that you’ll never get back. You can always make more money.

For anyone tracking West Coast boats the schedule updated today…Glovis Corona which was due this Emden 5/28 is no longer a west coast boat and according to Vessel Finder is already on its way to Egypt but has been replaced with two boats, one arriving in Emden on 6/1.
Hoping to catch the Stigma or Sunlight now.

My car's stage 8 is stuck on 5/26.

Go back 5,10, even 20 pages and you’ll see that there are numerous delays encountered across the process for all kinds of reasons. What you are experiencing sucks - but it also happens, A LOT, and if you can’t handle that, well then maybe buying a build to order luxury car really isn’t the right answer for you.
Hell, my car’s been sitting at the port in Jacksonville for a MONTH already, and it’ll be just shy of a second month before I get it. I’m not thrilled with the timeline, but I’m taking PECATL delivery. I walked into it eyes open that my delivery date was dependent on THEIR schedule not mine.
