Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
@alin2, we will probably be catching the same boat. My T arrived at the Port on 5/22 and is also heading to Baltimore. Curious, what do you have as your placeholder date for step 8? Mine is still stuck on 5/23.
My SA called me earlier this morning to tell me that my car had missed the Sunshine Ace. He then started looking for the next vessel. He said the Neptune Koper was the next vessel going to Emden. I asked him about the SFL Composer and he said it is going to The Netherlands and he couldn’t see beyond that. I then asked what he was looking at, and mentioned the PWL Group schedule we’ve been following here. He said PWL is the schedule for VW and that Porsche also uses other vessels. He explained that he was looking at the vessels that usually come to Houston, and that Neptune Koper is one of them.
I don’t know if he is right or wrong, but I’m going to start monitoring the Neptune Koper as well. I also sent an email to PWL Group for the latest schedule (just in case there’s anything new).

To an extent, I understand that and appreciate your response. I know I can’t do anything by stressing about it. But I could buy another car that’s ready to go…. Some of us make plans based on the expected dates Porsche provides and I think some delay is reasonable but indefinite delays are not. Technically, I’ve been delayed in production for over a month *for now*. My worry is what if the production is delayed for longer and longer and then I hit the shipping delays. If something is really holding things up and instead of July, Porsche expects the car to be delivered to me in September. Heck, I’ll go buy another car that’s ready right now. That I can control and do. Empty promises and expectations with no explanation is what bothers me.
Honestly, given how things have gone with several months of manufacturing delays, and seeing the additional delays with shipping, I think Porsche is optimistic with their (now) September delivery. I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up arriving in December.
You summed up exactly where I am. The used car market softened up a LOT since the day I got my allocation (November 4th 2022). With these crazy delays and zero info, I've become an active shopper for decent used options.

How about the Turbo S? Same delay as everything? Some of them get delayed and some don’t? I really thought we were past all this.

Mine entered production April 21 with an original production completion at 4/27. They sent three photos for the line. Then it got delated to 5/26. Then this week it got delayed again to 7/12 with a delivery date of Sept 3... For a car that was originally projected for a March delivery.
My SA has no explanation. We had to request a cancellation of PECLA delivery (which would take place 3+ weeks after that).
I'm assuming your 7/1 start is a typo, since it isn't July yet? Did you mean 5/1?
