Did it get on the boat? Mine has been at Emden since 4/14 and didn’t get on

I then asked what he was looking at, and mentioned the PWL Group schedule we’ve been following here. He said PWL is the schedule for VW and that Porsche also uses other vessels. He explained that he was looking at the vessels that usually come to Houston, and that Neptune Koper is one of them.

I don’t know if he is right or wrong, but I’m going to start monitoring the Neptune Koper as well. I also sent an email to PWL Group for the latest schedule (just in case there’s anything new).
I hope the Neptune Koper shows up on the updated PWL schedule, as you know its not on the last one you posted up.

Negative, missed Aristotle. I’m staying hopeful for Cicero …. Unless @Spiffx’s intel is accurate and there are other boats that we do not see on the PWL schedule, have to wait until at least 6/6 for another update. This makes life a little easier, I only checked TYD 3 times today instead of every 3 minutes.

Technically, I’ve been delayed in production for over a month *for now*. My worry is what if the production is delayed for longer and longer and then I hit the shipping delays. If something is really holding things up and instead of July, Porsche expects the car to be delivered to me in September. Heck, I’ll go buy another car that’s ready right now. That I can control and do. Empty promises and expectations with no explanation is what bothers me.
You summed up exactly where I am. The used car market softened up a LOT since the day I got my allocation (November 4th 2022). With these crazy delays and zero info, I've become an active shopper for decent used options.

Honestly, given how things have gone with several months of manufacturing delays, and seeing the additional delays with shipping, I think Porsche is optimistic with their (now) September delivery. I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up arriving in December.

My goodness. My scheduled completion date is 7/10/23 after being started 7/1. I guess according to this thread and your experience that means it won’t start production until September???

Some get delayed, others go through on schedule or even ahead of schedule. It’s a lottery, but we don’t have any statistics to really know what percentage is delayed.

How about the Turbo S? Same delay as everything? Some of them get delayed and some don’t? I really thought we were past all this.

I understand the delays, most likely from supply issues. Like others I planned a few summer vacation trips in hopes of receiving my car. After getting moved out a couple of months with a delivery date scheduled for mid August, I'm going to plan B. Which is buying a new Nissan Z car until my Carrera comes in. I figured laying out a $50k to $60k for a new Z works better for me than laying out $120k plus for a pre-owned 992. Over the years I've owned many Porsche and Z cars. Both completely different, but both fun summer drivers. And at the end of the day wouldn't mine owning both.

My Turbo S Cab has been more or less on schedule up to when it got to Emden. But that's where the schedule is starting to fall apart. Here's how my timeline has evolved since I really started tracking it:

I'm assuming your 7/1 start is a typo, since it isn't July yet? Did you mean 5/1?

Mine entered production April 21 with an original production completion at 4/27. They sent three photos for the line. Then it got delated to 5/26. Then this week it got delayed again to 7/12 with a delivery date of Sept 3... For a car that was originally projected for a March delivery.

My SA has no explanation. We had to request a cancellation of PECLA delivery (which would take place 3+ weeks after that).

Similar to my dates and delays. . Did you receive a final elevator photo with the car mostly complete. The GM at my dealership said if you received a completed car photo then the delay is most likely a specific part and dates usually will get moved up once part is installed. He was optimistic on it getting finished sooner as he's seen in on previous customers builds.

I’m currently looking at mid-July delivery from original June 1. Not holding my breath though as cad still hasn’t finished completion. Other new 992s on dealer lots seem more and more intriguing…

I just have to say that I admire this spreadsheet!

My dates are very similar. Production started 4/18. Only for 3 photos (no elevator pic). Production completion (step 5) was first planned for 4/24, once delayed to 5/3 then delayed to 6/1. Interestingly, dealer’s tracker shows 6/2 while my TYD still shows 6/1.

Roughly 48 hours since leaving Emden and Sunshine Ace is well clear of the English Channel and out in open water!
