Here's my timeline. Originally, TYD lagged for a few days showing vehicle as having left the port without actually leaving and then it updated to the current dates where I'm about a month behind schedule. My SA still hasn't gotten back to me with regards to his timeline, so I'm hoping that he may have some good news
I bet mine was sitting in the mailbox a few hours (maybe days?)…😅🤣

According to TYD, my car will be delivered at the dealership, ready for pickup, on Father’s Day. I hope they’re not making a mistake on something like this… I’m sure they can’t be. (fyi: by law, dealerships are closed on Sundays in Texas, which is where I live.)

Did you ever find out the reason for the delay?
The delay with my toy car was very much related to “last mile delivery”. The person in charge of picking up the mail (i.e., my wife) didn’t get moving until I shared the picture below with her, while also explaining that our cars were produced back-to-back. 😅🤣

I was told by my dealer that it had to go through quality check and then body shop. I did order the side decals which I'm hoping that's why it's in body shop and not getting any damage repaired. But it's anyone's guess at this point. 🤔

I’m sure it can be done, but not sure what the cost would be.
Texting my SA now to ask…
The average cost of international car shipping ranges from $1,000 to $5,000 for standard transport service. For air transport rather than ocean transport, costs can range from $5,000 up to a maximum of around $40,000.The cost of international vehicle transport will depend on a variety of factors, such as:
- Distance between ports
- Route popularity
- Vehicle type
- Transport company
- Shipping method
- Additional charges, taxes, and fees

With European delivery you actually “pickup” the car, it’s officially yours at delivery so if you decided to bring the car to an airport or freight forwarded to fly the car to the states you could do so.
For the rest of us - you can’t pull the car mid-stream to ship via a different method even if you were willing to pay for it. The car belongs to Porsche, not you, until it’s received at the dealership and you sign the paperwork for it. So you can’t decide to air freight it to the US. Thinking about seeing if you could convince Porsche and your dealer to “deliver” the car while it’s still in Germany so you could air freight it - do you really want to “take delivery” of a 6 figure car sight unseen that’s sitting on another continent. Remember once “delivered” the car is yours - you are responsible for the safe transport and delivery of the car and you are responsible for damage in transit.
It works a little differently for European Delivery cars, provided you bring the car to the designated shipper for transport, but if you break that chain and ship on your own - you assume that responsibility and liability.
