I have no idea how anyone could ever order a 911 and then wait months for it. I just bought my car yesterday and it's killing me to have to wait until I get snow tire put on and can drive it home next Tuesday.

It's torture, honestly. But for those of us with very specific builds or limited budgets it's worth it.

Hah it DOES feel like forever. But plan on keeping it a very long time, and love the idea of getting it precisely the way I want it. Huge kudos to those w the patience to do European Delivery or PTS, which adds more time.

This is my first Porsche ED, but have done 7 previously over the last 35 years, but all either MB or BMW. With every one I have been very eager to get through the process, but every time, it was worth the time spent to get EXACTLY what you want.

My order was placed on Jan 28 for a car already in the dealer's allocation which was reconfigured. Amazingly, my car finished production YESTERDAY (about 2 weeks ahead of the original schedule). My delivery at Zuffenhausen is set for 8:00am on Tuesday, April 7th. So yeah, the nail biting has really begun.

My build is http://www.porsche-code.com/PLPQX5L1

Thanks to Rennlist for helping pass the time!!

Congrats and good luck! Tuesday, April 7th would have been my scheduled ED dropoff at Zuff. All travel arrangements are set, but bummed I'll likely have to cancel my ED and do PEC delivery instead - the corona virus being the main culprit.

Nice build, optioned nicely, it’ll be very striking in GB with the B/B interior!

I joined this forum today, and entered the waiting room as well, this will be my first Porsche.
