The schedule is a little confusing - I'm seeing Sunshine Ace left on 7/20 on its way to Davisville by 8/1 on Marinetraffic.com. The VW Export Schedule from PWL shipping says its supposed to leave Emden on 7.23...feels like this export schedule (as of Week 27/2022) is wrong?

 

In April, the average time lapse between a Porsche 992 arriving at and departing from Emden was about 21 days. The good news is TYD was accurate in April and 7/30 is approaching. The RoRo vessels carry all brands owned by VW with limited spaces for each manufacturer including Porsche. There are more cars than available spaces thus the delay. The unfortunate sinking of the Felicity Ace a few months back contributed to the delay as that is one less RoRo transporting cars. Best wishes.

Yes - your dealer will know when your car boarded a vessel. TYD will update too with the name of the vessel.

 

Dude, did your TYD display this prior to getting your car? Shows the car is at dealership but the delivery date is 08/12/2022? I'm so confused.

 

I wish my SA would respond! Called and left a vm as well as texted him…I hope he doesn’t sell it to someone else! Already put down a deposit and he said MSRP vs. ADM but who knows these days!

I did hear from folks that some of the delays are tied to the seats! If people are getting the black GTS, there is delays from the supplier (who was previously in Ukraine, but now switched to South Africa).

if folks are still customizing, I suggest getting another interior…I did truffle brown and mine gone built and went through CP8 same day as production complete.

 

Mine is a 992C2S order; wanted a GTS, but my SA gave me a C2S allocation as bridge at MSRP while I wait for GTS allocation for 992.2.
It was scheduled for 07/22 production (couple of weeks back in TYD status); however since last 2 weeks my TYD status is blank (now its only showing Order Created update). So not sure whether a VIN as assigned OR not.... That site pretty much of no use

 

FYI - anyone on the Siem Aristotle, she's currently unloading at the Port of Baltimore.

 

Hey man - my TYD updated like yours once my car was unloaded at Baltimore. All the remaining dates changed to the same date and TYD said contact my dealer for delivery. So maybe your car is ahead of schedule?

 

Oh, that would be freakin wonderful, if it arrived early! SA said his system still shows on schedule for 08/12. Maybe, I’ll just swing by there and check this week. Thanks.

 

Yessir, my rebuild for the one that went down on the Felicity Ace is on Siem Aristotle. Gotta wait one more port stop in J'Ville.

 

It departed Emden today. A few days behind what had been scheduled. It’s headed to Panama now. My TYD updated to say the car had arrived at Emden on 7/23, and it’s still listed as being “On Vessel” on 8/5. So who knows if I made the Triton Leader or if I’ll be on the Cygnus Leader which is anticipated to be in Emden around then.

 

My car was totaled on the Composer (I think that was the boat) in March. Rebuilt and completed on 7/7 and at the port 7/8. Still there. Now, shows that it will be "on the vessel" on 8/2 ... headed for SAN DIEGO ! I live in Connecticut. The route on TYD shows it going thru the Panama canal to SD, then over land to Rhode Island arriving in October. WTF? Makes no sense to me.
Spoke with my SA and sales manager ... said they would look in to it. Apparently, there is a strike on the docks in Emden, and they are short of ships to transport VW based cars. Whatever ....
