It’s crazy to me how long it’s taking cars to be loaded on a vessel.

Good Morning. It's a Monday and I am having that first cup as I am up earlier than usual today(5 ish CST). Like many Porsche first time buyers I had an "event" that occurred late last year(sold a company I work for and at the moment still do) that triggered this purchase. Fulfillment of a bucket list item that I did not think would be happening to be honest. It is the result of of 13 years of work, two private equity backers and a final sell to a public company. Like most, I have traveled many miles and lost count of the Hotels and meetings. Onward to the fun stuff! I see some new ships on the previous post. Will check that out. I can only track a certain number of ships at a time. I bought a 30 day license as I thought that would be fine. I can see that I may need to extend that! At any rate here is what I have. The Glovis Sonic is on her way! She is a fast ship cruising at just over 16.8 knots. The others I have watched seem to move around 14 knots. 10 days to get to Columbia and then the Panama Canal I would think. She is one of the bigger ships and can carry a huge number of cars. I am certain a lot of them are destined for the West Coast. The Felicity Ace (My Ship, I hope) is headed into port soon 2/8, to pick up some cars. The Siem Aristotle is in the middle of nowhere heading towards Halifax Canada.. I will try and focus more on ships that are getting close to picking up a new load of cars and heading towards the U.S. If there are others in this thread (Canada, Mexico,South America) let me know and I will track it. These ships meander quite a bit. Once they get to North America they seem to hit South America drop off and then pickup more cargo and then work their way back through the U.S. ports before heading back to Europe. I am sure it works in a similiar way to Trucking as they are maximizing their billable load as they make their way back across to Europe. Have a great day!

Ok... I'm graduating.
Turned in my 997.2 PDK turbo (55K miles - bought 7 years ago for $100k and traded for $80k! - one of the cheapest cars I ever owned)
I ordered my 992 turbo S in July at Livermore - got the run around about availability and allocation. Found Fremont who got me an allocation
Allocation September 2021
Lock October 2021
Production Completed 11/19/2021
Delivery to Emden 11/25
On ship 12/14
Arrived in Benicia 2/2/22
Picked up this weekend
Good luck to those waiting. It's worth it.

Also will say that Fremont seems to be able to secure cars. My 992 in in the fore ground and another beauty is waiting for pickup.
Lastly if you're looking for a 2010 997.2 turbo you can see my trade outside all the way to the left

TYD is still not updated, but my SA has confirmed this morning that the car did get onto Glovis Sonic. Hope that’s the same for others waiting for TYD to update.

Of course, my scheduled date to move into production was 2/4 which makes this all the more frustrating.

It’ll probably update showing you’re in production tomorrow or Tuesday. It took about 5 days for mine to update. My car had already arrived at the port and photographs were already added to my TYD before it updated showing my car had completed production.

I have a 992 GT3 that was supposed to be on GLOVIS SONIC and did not get on the boat. My SA says there is a building backlog of cars.

Stunningly beautiful. The wheels look great. The photographs are excellent. My Gentian Blue Turbo S still sits in Emden, hopefully awaiting a rendezvous with the Felicity Ace and an eventual delivery about March 25th in Mill Valley. It will be my 10th new Porsche, and at 86, very likely my last but I said the same thing in 2011 and 2014. As I sold the 991.1 Turbo S in January, I am without a Porsche design for the first time since 1957. (#1 was a 36 HP Volkswagen Beetle.) The Tesla Model S Plaid is a worthy consolation prize, and for usable fun, I have a Mini John Cooper Works with 238 HP that reminds me of my 1969 911S. Enjoy your beautiful car.
