Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
Intermediate
Mine started production 7/22 and morning of 7/27 I woke up to email with the three production photos.
The email said “Your 911 Carrera is now ready to embark on a journey from Germany to your dealership, and then to your driveway.” What’s odd is it’s now been 3+ days since that email and I’m still sitting in step 4.
Original estimate called for production to start 7/22 and last 4 weeks (assuming it was that long due to shut down). Worried all of us in step 3/4 are in holding pattern for next 3 weeks.

Just got the email that my car has reached my dealer!
@pascarem congratulations!
What color is it…Carmine Red? BTW, did the dealer put holes in the front bumper for the plate holder at your request?

Carmine Red. Love it. I asked for the plates. NJ it’s law and I don’t want to get pulled over constantly. 😒

Delivery days are the best.

Does anyone have recent experience with Port of Baltimore (Sparrows Point)? Car arrived there and was offloaded yesterday. (I know time can vary) but how long until the car leaves that port typically?

Production delays for some.
911 Carrera S Manual
I got this photo of my car being complete and "going down one level for testing". This was July 4, 2024. I have since gotten notification that the process is not complete, and wont' be done until August 23, 2024 (per TYD) it also says my car won't be ready for pickup in California until October 31, 2024. My sales associate has no explanation, and neither does the GM. What am I missing? I read on here that the factory shuts down next month. I'm guessing it's been waiting on a part for the last few weeks and has just been sitting there. I have no idea, but am very frustrated. Anyone else in this scenario? All I see is people having their cars loaded on boats and taking delivery. Manufacturing started June 16,2024.
SA is indicating that an EM part might be causing the delay. I'm not sure if that makes much sense as I don't have much "EM parts" other than the fuel cap. My hunch is one of two possibilities. Lithium Ion battery or chip issue. If your vehicle is going to Canada, has RAS, or other options that require a Li, most likely the Li battery and August Euro shutdown are the culprit. I was really looking forward to an October ED, but now I'm hoping to be slotted in December which apparently has not been openned yet. Apparently the slots get "openned" in August (tomorrow?).

My ship, Siem Cicero, arrived at Sparrows Point 7/25. Received notice of car at port of entry on 7/26. Car shipped to dealer on 7/27.
Car at dealership (2 hours from port) on 7/27, late afternoon.

Yep! They wanted me to pay adm, 2 year maintenance plan, and some $1500 package with car cover, mats, ctek charger back for a Cayman GTS 4.0 in January. Said no and bought a 911 from another dealer instead.
It's my time to graduate from this thread... Not the greatest of pictures from the dealership so I've included one from my parking garage.
I only drove about 30-40 kms but I love it so far. I'm not regretting the switch from GT4 to 992 GTS. The only issue is that my PPF appointment is only later in August...
