But you are correct, after what I saw at the BMW VDC, the repairs to "new" cars can be significant.
On a positive note, my SA claims that cars are limited to no more than 10mph when driven during the transit process.

Would love to know how the special request works just for the peace of mind of knowing exactly what has been going on. Tried calling Porsche both the customer line and the corporate office and they are no help. It doesn't seem like they really disclose to the dealer either.

Example laws (from 2015):

https://www.autoblog.com/2015/12/06/new-car-damage-repair/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referre r_sig=AQAAALHbYdH5LzzpSkCutUPJW11NjvqHX3O2lgAOG7gxiwB8l7Xz_tv_Oslvu1mW-tiRzl2HFsM5nBHjiTsTjpRR84vI7FK8fMx8G_SEge2TJZIV48Jeib10YHHxlMbRhSymcpdBO 3NjxTo5fQrZk9In7AReXI9GshhCWc35lDGKk0cp

https://definitions.uslegal.com/n/new-motor-vehicle-damage-disclosure-act/

It looks like the threshold is:

The damage repair must exceed $500 or 3% of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, whichever is greater.

I know at the BMW VDC we saw alot of small dent repairs, bumper resprays, and oddly enough changeouts of the battery. The BMW representative said all batteries are tested at the port because the infant mortality rates on them are high, and they don't want to deliver cars to customers only to have them die in their driveways the first week of ownership - doesn't look good. Stuff like that is going to fall under the limit and not be disclosed.

You realize on a $200K Porsche this is $6000. that is a lot of damage.

PPF = Paint protection Film

Powder coating the wheels to look like the Turbo S wheels - don't like the blacked-out look

So they take the black wheels and add the silver color, or do they actually cut the face of the wheel and make the base metal show through? What does that cost?

If anyone interested in getting into a pristine 2023 992.1 Ice Grey Metallic Turbo S, only 3.5k miles, sick build, that you can be driving this weekend, check out my listing in the Rennlist Marketplace titled: "Wait No Longer!".

getting it free from dealer, but about $200 per wheel. Yes I believe that is the case - i.e. cut

Hoping my car is on it but haven’t been updated via TYD. My SA did text me today stating car should be at the dealership by the 16th so hoping it’s on the ship.

It probably takes a little bit once the ship is further out we might...someone in the GT thread said to reach out to SA tomorrow since the ship left today.
