It looks like the Siem Aristotle is off the coast of Nantucket now! The ship seems to be taking it's sweet time coming in now-- so it looks like our cars are having a final night Cape Cod and Islands cruise party before getting ready to come into RI tomorrow. I guess you can tell I'm pretty excited!
Missed like the 4th boat in Emden. Salesman doesn't care, just shrugs and says that's the way it is. I will now miss a Porsche gathering I have done for several years because
I am Porsche-less. Seriously considering cancelling the order and walking away. I am sick of the ****ty treatment when I am "only" spending $200K on a car.
I cannot complain, because the dealership will never give me another allocation, I cannot answer the Porsche survey honestly, because I need them to fix my car. Porsche obviously doesn't care.
Never in my life have I spent so much and gotten such crappy service (OK, Maybe Rolex). And my only option is to walk away.
Seriously thinking about just going elsewhere for my speed kicks.

This is absolutely horrible and I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you. Do you have any other dealers around you that you can work with on getting another allocation or can they locate a car close to what you are looking for?

This is the lock we are in. My GTS build is at MSRP, so any other option is used and at a higher price.. I made the mistake of pre-trading, so my money ( and tax abatement) is locked at s single dealer. Since I ordered an April delivery vehicle, and now it's June, I should have not pre-traded, and kept my options open to just buy at market another car. A mistake on my part for sure, but I never imagined an April promise would become Mid-June.
My respect for Porsche is utmost, but the transactional Porsche absolutely sucks. I wish Porsche management could understand this. Tides will change and this will be their downfall. But that doesn't fix my May delivery issues.
Thought I missed the boat but just received notification, a day late, that my car has left Emden (presumably on Supreme Ace from the published schedule). From the thread, others have arrived earlier and left later or vice versa -- I'm sure there's an industrial logic to it all, but sorry to hear stories of others stuck at port for weeks without explanation.
The Siem Aristotle isn't far from the coast of Massachusetts now and should be arriving into Davisville sometime this morning. I know we have the Agate twins on board --they are probably getting ready to get unloaded (maybe after a nice brunch ;-)- but anyone else? I'd like to see how long it takes for us to get our cars. My dealer is talking about delivery next week. Fingers crossed.....
My Agate C2S is also on the Siem Aristotle! Except I'm in the Pacific Northwest, and it will still be a while...
Was tracking it on Vesselfinder, but its last location is still showing near England on 5/1. What's the better tracker to use?
Just curious: if you're in the PNW, did you buy your car from a dealer on the east coast / south and planning to transport / drive it across the country?
EDIT: I bounce between Vessel Finder and Marine Traffic. When one stops tracking, I go to the other. Marine Traffic shows a live map right now and the ship is off the coast of Rhode Island.
