Just learned that my car, sitting at Emden port since 1/15, was not loaded onto the ship named Emden this weekend.
I’ve been given a new date of 4/19 for the car to be loaded into the next ship, but now I’ve lost hope.
Between now and next month, I’m certain even more cars with updated chips will be released from the factory, and they will obviously be positioned in FRONT of my car at the lot. The likelihood of them clearing the pileup of new cars parked in front of mine is very low, in my opinion.
Each month there is usually only one ship headed to my local port. So missing a boat, means a delay of another month, and even more cars getting added to the backlog ahead of mine.
@PSPorsche this is very disheartening. As a fellow Porsche owner and enthusiast I feel for you given the delays. When the Felicity Ace sank, I quickly said lost cars should be prioritizing and rebuilt ASAP. In the case of this chip situation, now that a replacement is available, the cars that have been finished and waiting should get priority from a logistics standpoint. Hang in there, the car is certainly worth the wait, here’s hoping you make the next boat and get to meet your new 911 soon.

There were several photos of the SFL Wolfsburg vehicle carrier unloading VW suvs (looked like Tiguans?) on Wednesday:
Other random note: SFL Conductor just showed up in range...off the coast of Massachusetts. Most vehicle carriers (esp. ones skipping Davisville RI) go straight to Virginia and then swing up. I wonder if it's being diverted to Davisville.
Not sure what's going on with TYD. My Carrera left Emden on the Siem Cicero on 3/14 (per TYD and Email notification) and presumably arrived at Davisville on 3/26. As of today (3/28), there has been no notification of the arrival (by email or TYD). Another poster on RL reports the same thing, though his SA did get notification that his car arrived.
Any idea why the notification for port arrival is not functioning?
@PSPorsche understand your position. My car finished production on Dec 14th and only just made it to Emden Mar 22. It sat in a holding facility for over 3 months and was unable to get any real updates. Now its in Emden my wait for a ship continues, but have a similar concern that you are experiencing that I'm just joining the next line. It will happen though - pulling for your car to make the next available boat to your port.
@photonscience TYD has been blank for almost 2 weeks now. I've given up relying on that as the source. I think one day I'll just get a call my car is here which is a little tricky as a few things to sort out ahead of its arrival.
@PSPorsche@PhilH930 reading through your posts. It does seem to be the case. I am one of those whose car got on the ship about 4-6 days after coming to the port. so my guess is what you said is right. Hope they clear the back log and get the cars on the ship (and add more sips)
someone mentioned it takes about a month to get ships scheduled,( or new ships added) so my hop kit its about 4 weeks are already over and new ships are added. hope fully they just bypass the system and get your cars quickly to the dealership! sending good vibes!
looks like Baltimore is in full operation (at least for VW) AMETHYST ACE is moving out of the bay! looks like unload done!
and........ SFL CONDUCTOR is hovering around the bay! I will try and track it today to see if it gets to enter the bay! then hopefully it heads to Freeport!!!

Siem Cicero is off the coast of Florida now and it left Davisville on 3/29 so if you confirmed it was on that ship you should be good!
My 992 4 GTS originally had a 3/8 production date with a late Feb freeze date. It was scheduled for 4/17 delivery and when I checked on the day of the original freeze date, it got moved to 6/17. The freeze date changed from late Feb to 3/27, and now again to 4/1. What's going on guys? I feel like there's going to be another delay on the delivery date. This seems to be an endless process
