Has anyone with a car stuck in customs hell received any useful update or seen progress yet? Mine’s been at Emden since mid January and the SA just keeps saying we should see progress “soon”. Supposed to ship to Baltimore.

SA says car should ship out on the 30th, and it may reach the dealer by the 3rd week of April.
Try to see if there are any ships bound for Baltimore that are docking at Emden in the near future. If your car is loaded, it takes about two weeks at sea.

Same dates here in terms of being parked in Emden & also arriving to the US via Baltimore. SA shows an April 5th delivery date for me (of course, my TYD milestones are all listed as unavailable). Only way I see April 5th delivery in Michigan happening is if mine does in fact get loaded onto the Amethyst Ace currently docked in Emden. We shall see...
Thanks for your replies. Have your SAs been able to advise whether your vehicles have been fixed for the offending chip? Mine can’t even confirm whether it would only ship if fixed. Implying it may ship and sit in Baltimore to be fixed, which makes absolutely no sense. So unbelievably frustrating.

No confirmation either way. SA unable to verify if it has had the chip fix yet, though believes in the April 5th delivery date. If that's accurate, then with or without the fixed chip that car is coming directly into Baltimore and then immediately forwarding up to Michigan haha.

I’m totally new here. My car got to Emden on March 11th, bound for Baltimore as well. If I understand (at all) what the internet says, the AA can carry over 6,000 car containers, whatever that means since the ship is a “RO-RO” carrier. Does any of this indicate that it’s likely that cars at Emden in time to be loaded for AA’s scheduled departure should have plenty of room onboard? Are there possibly >6,000 cars slated for passage to US east coast/Baltimore and at the port?

Not really sure how these shipping logistics work. But I do know that these ships don't always leave the port completely full. It's probably a combination of optimizing the load and also trying to stay on schedule, as well other factors like crew, weather, etc.
