Just got an email that my C2S has left the German port. Shipping to Jacksonville. Arrival at my dealership in Atlanta 1/28/24. Anyone have any idea what ship it may be on?

I got an email on Tuesday from the dealer saying it should arrive any day. I'll be storing it all winter so I'm not buying winter wheels. I want to get it home asap. It'll be in the 20's in Chicago. Do you think I'll be fine driving it home on the stock tires? I'll have to travel about 30 miles. My 2014 991 was like driving on hockey pucks the 1-2 times I pulled it out in the cold.

Maybe talk with dealer about getting it delivered to your house.

My dealer did this for me free of charge back in November when it wasn’t even that cold out. It’s actually pretty cool to have your Porsche delivered right to your driveway. I would just recommend doing another quick inspection before they leave.

Do you waive anything with a home delivery? Is be hesitate unless it first went to the dealership. I live the idea of the deal seeing it and it all probably being on camera when delivered. This way if you notice something legit then they can't claim you did it.

Welcome thoughts/ideas beyond being patient on my progress. Received GTS allocation July 2023, and went through a series of delays (assume due to options), and then things started in Nov according to TYD all the way to build complete where it has been static since:
  • Freeze date Nov15; manufacturing starting soon Nov30; manufacturing started Dec08, manufacturing complete Dec14
    • Received pictures, car status V300
  • TYD has remained on Current step 5 V300 ever since, with steps 6-11 still grayed out. All other steps/dates remain unchanged, never confirmed:
    • On way to port Dec14, at port Dec15, left port Dec29, local entry Port Jan17 (Jacksonville), Delivery Jan23 (Atlanta)
My dealer does not have any additional information, but will check again tomorrow. Putting way too much into this, called Porsche NA who were very helpful. They went to look things up using my commission no, but came back with "we no longer have visibility to your car, so is likely with your dealer". I knew that couldn't be true, but the associate said it is likely in the US at the port or on its way to the dealer. Associate was going to look into it some more and contact me within two business days.

As exciting as that sounds, hard to believe. So, checked Emden departures calling at Jacksonville. Siem Confucius dates did not fit (leaving Emden Dec07); however, Neptune Koper arrived in Emden Dec18, left Emden Dec19, headed direct to Jacksonville Jan04. Anyone think that is a realistic possibility, or recommendations on what else to check?

Did you do the TYD f12 hack to see vessel number if it’s actually been shipped? There was the one guy whose keys were lost for his car during shipping.

I suspect there might be some issues internally. My car arrived at port last night. I watched the ship literally come in via live shipping tracking. My TYD has not updated since December 5th and my SA checked internally this morning and on his end it had not arrived to port, even though clearly it had. I suspect whatever parties are responsible for updating the tracking have not returned from the holiday vacation.

What was the number you used for Porsche NA? I think I need to call them soon.

@Icegrill - yes, been using F12 frequently. When doing so, vehicle status is V300 and current location shows "PlantZuffenhausen", but nothing in TYD has updated since Dec14. Hopefully they don't lose any more keys!
@TUD - how did you know your car arrived last night with TYD not updating and SA not having info? Assume you could see the ship prior to TYD not updating. Regarding staff not being around to updated TYD - it is inconsistent as others, or what appears majority, are continuing to receive updates.

PCNA’s toll-free equals 1-800-767-7243 ~ email equals customersupport@porsche.com
