Not sure I'd put much faith in the dates anymore. I'm just happy to have made it onto Patara arriving in Halifax August 6. However, my TYD dates show its arriving to Halifax a month BEFORE it left Emden. But you're right about the floods in Halifax. Good to see that the railway has been repaired a few days ago so trains can actually leave Nova Scotia.
I just recently did the trek from Halifax to Toronto (Porsche Centre Oakville). I left Halifax the morning before all the floods apparently, so not sure if timelines were affected by that. Here is how my dates unfolded. I'm taking delivery of the car this Friday.

Congrats!! Great looking car. Thats reassuring on the timing. I can only hope for the same timelines for mine. Patara has 1000 Porsches on it whereas the ship yours came on had about 450 i think, so I hope the more volume won't make the wait times longer. And with the floods..... who knows what backups they have?? If it arrives in the month of August I'll be happy at this point. Being in the dark is the worst part. At least you get to enjoy a lot of summer in it still. Enjoy!
Curious for those of you close to getting your cars, when the TYD website shows your car has left the port are you able to see the ship location update on the map along the way? Or is it only when the ship reaches the arrival port that the site/map updates?

TYD will “show” on a map where your car/ship are, but it is not an actual representation of exact location. Example: it it takes 20 days to get from emden to Houston, TYD will move the car locator 1/20th of the way each day no matter where your car actually is.
my car is on sunshine ace. TYD did not show at all that there was a stop for a day in Halifax, not that there will be one in Mexico before port in Houston. It only moves the locator along a made up line from emden to Houston.

Yes, the boat was updating along the way but it's not on the actual vessel route - it's just a fictif route that progresses as it's gets closer to delivery date of the port.

Noticing that the new TYD seems to update every few hours for distance and move the car along the fictitious line a bit. Compared to the actual ship position in terms of distance the position seems very close to me. The point where the roofline meets the front windshield seems to be about where the ship would be distance-wise, my car is shown going tail-first across the ocean.

Mine said it left the port last week. But car icon still shows in Emden. Hopefully it's on a boat.

your car is just super cool. Moonwalking its way to you.

That makes sense, thanks.

Hope you get yours soon, mine said it left port on the 31st.
The TYD boat position is not accurate. The only accurate way to know the precise GPS location of your car is to look up your vessel on Vesselfinder.
My car is heading to Port of Benicia on the Neptune Barcelona. TYD showed my car 50 miles south and a few miles off the coast of San Francisco, while I was watching a live webcam feed of the car passing under the Golden Gate Bridge and making the left turn at Alcatraz.

My TYD says the car was delivered today. It’s currently in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Lol
