Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
mine is sitting in Emden now for 5 weeks and no updates yet , it will be shipped to Houston, Texas
Mine is quickly approaching 8 weeks at Emden on 7/3. Got there on 5/8 and heading to Jacksonville, FL. I'm really hoping to get on the Siem Confucius on 7/2, which ironically is the first boat I missed way back when.

I missed 3 ships to Baltimore so far. Hopefully we are all more fortunate with the 4th one :-)

Good luck for us really! I missed like 4 vessels since then . Really so frustrating process to find everyone is waiting for that long and their customer service really very bad
exact sam scenario for me. Confucius was the first boat I missed a few months ago. Hopefully we make it this time.

I finally completed production. Original date was 4/29, got moved to 7/12 and received email yesterday 6/28 it's completed. According to Progress report I'll be arriving at German port on 7/4 and leaving the next day on 7/5. Anyone else have a one day turnaround at German port or is this a pie in the sky probability. 🤔

On a more serious note in light of these lengthy delays at the port, at what point do they start do become problematic where you might require some kind of repair or possibly even find it best to refuse the vehicle?
For example, after sitting for two months or more at the port, are the tires at risk for flat-spotting and so you should insist on fresh tires before accepting the car? At what point has their been risk of battery damage from having it run all the way down, so that you should insist on a battery replacement before accepting the car?
And do they put fuel stabilizer in at the factory? If not, after two months in port and another month in transit the gas could be bad - should you refuse the car?
With a sticker price of over a quarter of a million dollars in some cases, accepting a car in anything less than perfect condition is unacceptable.

Good questions. Obviously, you should do what you feel comfortable with, but since the '24 models have a ~10K base price increase there's no way I'm going to refuse my car regardless of how long it has sat. With that said, I assume Porsche is intimately familiar with how long cars can sit before running into issues with the various subsystems. It's also possible (I would think very likely) that the gas they put in it is ethanol free and/or has stabilizer. Plus, we'll have four years of warranty so anything breaks it's on Porsche.
