That's what Jeremy Clarkson says.

The 911 is a Beetle made mighty. These comparisons should come as no surprise.

Ever since I bought my first 911 back in 1987, I've described them as overgrown VW bugs.

911's are very literally Beetle's on 'roids. Nothing to be ashamed of. That's what makes it awesome.

I've been seeing Tesla Model 3's on the road, and I've noticed how closely they ripped off the 991 style hood (frunk) shutline (rounded "smile" look). I'm wondering if insight into that fact had anything to do with Porsche forcing that awkward shutline squared hoodline onto the 992.

Ford blatantly stole the Aston front, so they made this:

They changed it because of this.

It’s almost as though Aston Martin said: “You copied our grill so we’ll copy your headlights.” Yikes!

Such a shame. Aston's front was the height of iconic style. And they had to give it up for what? A now discontinued Fusion and continued tumbling Ford stock.

Really nice comparison of the sport design package vs standard in the following youtube
. It's in German, but basically he says he prefers the SD . Overall he loves the way the car drives, thinks it's a big step up, while overall is less convinced about the design changes, although they are growing on him. He is not a fan of the nubbin.

Start at the 8:30 minute mark to see the cars side by side.

shame the cab bulge has visually grown in this iteration.... that sport design vert is surprisingly good looking and if that bulge stayed an inch or two lower it'd be amazing.

I don't find the cab bulge that problematic. There are even angles where it looks good.

Resembles the new Miata front end slightly.
