I wish they offered a "narrow" body for this car. I just don't need that extra rear girth, and find the 991 C2 hips plenty wide and proportional. Also, the whole point of a sports car is small, light, nimble. Easy to fit into lanes and toss around, with a bonus of being easy to fit into parking spots. The 991 C2 rear is already wide enough where I have to position it right when parking, as the rear bulges out so much more than the front (love the look and effect, but think it's already plenty on my car). The 991 C4 has so much extra rear width, you sometimes don't notice how much more it's filling the lanes behind you while driving, and takes up as much space when parking as a large car at the rear.

It looks beefier, but also not as svelte. IMO it was an unnecessary "feature" to force onto us (which we're now forced to pay for), most likely due to laziness (streamlines the production process, and makes the architecture look "beefier and meaner" without actually having to design it in, instead just taking the previous C4 shell).

Do you guys think the sideskirts is mandatory on my built ? http://www.porsche-code.com/PLX6N8T5 or will it blend in with the dark color.

I was considering them as well, but after seeing the car in person, it looks great without them.
I think you are right though, they would look better with lighter colours.

I don't think the sides are a necessity, and I'm not sold on the rear. I was considering the front only for my build (when the manuals are finally available), but now I'm leaning toward no Sport Design at all.

Yes, the 992 needs a rear wing option pkg for some of its Porsche aficionados. So does the 991.2

The color matched lip looks great but I caution against it...

I had a SD bumper on my 991.1S and it took a beating and had to be replaced once and repainted twice. My GT3 has FAL and is already on it's second lip and getting ready for it's third. Luckily the GT3 lip is just black plastic and a replacement is only $150.

There is a reason that Porsche moved to the black plastic lip for the 991.2 and now 992. They end up looking like crap after a few bad inclines.

If you are someone that can't stand the sight of damage to the lip, do NOT go with a color matched lip. Yes, it looks better than the black plastic but the plastic one can be replaced in your driveway at very little cost when damaged (notice I didn't say "if damaged" lol).

Black Plastic > Damaged Paint IMO

Good point. I would add that the painted lower lip without SD actually makes the car look like it has a fat lower chin or lip. Folks might want to look at it from more of a side angle, not the front angle on configurator before going with that option. It actually has a bit of a fish like look.

SD looks great though and the front creases give it a more aggressive look.
