Correct! The design architecture for sturdiest, lowest weight track spec alloys across HRE, Litespeed and other $10k wheel manufacturers all follow that ethos. Anything else and the weight goes up. I explored many wheels and ended up with these. Btw, they are the same wheel under different light conditions. Looking forward to mounting them after snow clears.
My Chalk Targa GTS is due at the dealer in about a week. I have ordered Forgeline VX1R wheels in brushed transparent smoke. A couple of pics (not my car obviously):
can you share the link where you ordered. And size as well. Thanks
Plus I've heard that BBS doesn't make them bigger than 19" so the only way to get them is BBS faces with third party barrels. Not sure where you would stand from a warranty perspective if you damaged a lip/barrel.

You can get them custom, in 20s. Still not gonna work on a 992. But yea, they are pretty for sure.

For those that love the E89's but own a car that those wheels aren't built for (like myself), a great option are C010R's made by AL13 wheels. They are custom built here in the USA so offered in any diameter, width, offset, color, and bolt pattern. They start at under $10k for the a set and you can even get crazy and order them with a carbon fiber barrel. Photos below. Anybody that needs a set let me know and I'll take care of ya.
SWEET. I wish I loved a style easier to clean. Ha!
I absolutely love my RS Spyders - but this is the reason why I've ordered some "non-split" five-spokes to replace them for awhile.
Forged - one-piece rims (ie. no 3-piece screws/bolts)
These will probably be the easiest-to-clean aftermarket wheels I've ever purchased.
My RS Spyders look dusty after only about 30 miles... and those little nooks and crannies always get missed so they are never completely clean on first pass

As soon as @Wheelsb gets back to me with the quote for the HRE 101 Lightweights in that dark clear silver finish my RS Spyders will be my winter wheels. That pic above with the blue 992 did me in.

20x8.5 on the front, 21x11.5 on the rear. I ordered through Pacific German in Laguna Hills, CA, but Forgeline has lots of dealers nationwide.
Wheels Boutique, who has posted numerous times in this thread is noted to be an excellent source for aftermarket Porsche wheels, and they are a Forgeline dealer.
